Ian the Red Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 Well to those who slagg off probably the greatest player to play this club you should be ashamed of yourselves. Matt Le Tissier was the only person to have any connection with the club who had the balls to get up and try to do something to save the SFC. He had the balls to do it. More than the so called supporters who happily sit infront of their PC and slagg off the man for trying to save the club. Matt deserves our thanks for trying to pull together a group to save the club. To those who slagg him f*$% off you a£$holes and support the skate b"£$%ds down the road - you deserve them. Come on you Reds
saint_stevo Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 What are we thanking him for? Great Player, and i thank him for his service and loyalty during his playing days. But i won't thank him for anything that has happened over the last 4 weeks
supergoose Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 I don't blame Matt, he was simply misled along with the rest of us.

Come on you Reds Couldn't agree more, MLT's status is unaffected in my eyes. He did what he though was in the best interests of the club, he was just let down by a bunch of fantasists who couldn't handle the heat in the kitchen when it came to crunch time. Badger Posted 30 June, 2009 Share Posted 30 June, 2009 I don't blame Matt, he was simply misled along with the rest of us. Agree.MLT stood up to the task, whereas many others just watched. He was a victim of his own cult status which made him an invaluable asset to a potential purchaser who had they come out in the open without him - ie TL and Fialka - they would have been greeted with the same derision as MJ. MLT in his over eagerness to promote the club was misled.

But i won't thank him for anything that has happened over the last 4 weeks I'd say if anything the fact that he was willing to put his reputation on the line in an attempt to save us is thanks enough. From his and TL's statements it seems that both of them still did everything they could to avoid this and were just let down by backers. MLT is and always will be a club legend and hero to most Saints fans
