Torbay Saint Posted 20 July, 2009 Share Posted 20 July, 2009 Do we have a sell on for Bale or was that ended (if it even existed) with the Tommy Forecast deal? I see there is a bit of paper talk about him going abroad. Jol and even Mourinho have spoken about him (see below). http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/football-news/2009/07/19/spurs-must-keep-gareth-bale-says-ex-boss-jol-91466-24186355/
saint63 Posted 20 July, 2009 Share Posted 20 July, 2009 These regional reporters have no imagination. A more creative headline would be: Gareth to bale out? Unless you can do better....?

Dave Hedgehog Posted 20 July, 2009 Share Posted 20 July, 2009 Do we have a sell on for Bale or was that ended (if it even existed) with the Tommy Forecast deal? I think that's correct. I'm sure I remember reading that we went back to Spurs and made an early settlement (same as the Walcott deal) last season.

I'm sure I remember reading that we went back to Spurs and made an early settlement (same as the Walcott deal) last season. This is how i seem to recall it happening, we ending up getting less for the pair of them, Also, has Bale finished on the winning side for them yet? swesaint Posted 21 July, 2009 Share Posted 21 July, 2009 If I´m correctly informed we should be entitled to training/development compensation if he moves abroad (which doesnt apply to domestic transfers). Not sure how many % that amounts to though.
