PremiumTV - what a load of old s***

So, people having problems with SaintsTV and PremuimTV not being very responsive thought I'd open up the debate (not a mass one) to see how much of an issue it is.

Reason for me posting this now is that I've signed up for text alerts from two football teams (am sure you can guess the other one). Received the text alert straight after the draw telling me who the other team have drawn in the cup but 30 mins later I'm still awaiting the Saints text message. Anyone got their text through saying Saints have Brum in the next round?

Have had more run ins with Saints TV but want to see if it's just me having a bad day.

I had problems with the online signup, somehow got the message "Your bank does not accept Direct Debits", I thought Nationwide would. Sent email to to SFC and quick reply to advise them when they could ring me, here in Switzerland, told them anytime Wednesday and hey presto fixed at 3pm.

Now for the acid test in reception quality.

Curious - had a response re: not receiving a text about the Carling Cup draw on Wednesday. Their response was:

"The one with Southampton does appear to be working as you were sent messages on the 11th August about the game you had. (Carling cup on Tuesday). It is up to the club what messages are sent. Our records do show that you were sent 6 messages on Tuesday. If you did not receive these please let us know."

So, anyone know who decides which texts are sent out ? I'd have thought that Saints should have sent a text alert out about the results of the draw surely?

I know a number of others said it as well but the stream kept stopping and had to rebuffer during the cup game. Hopefully it's just teething problems. Otherwise, why offer a high quality stream if your infrastructure can't support it?

(I'm on a 20MB connection so it's not as if I've got speed issues ;))

Anyone else having money took off them from a company called level 3 DOM? My accound shows thats 3.99 has been going to them since the company WP online sports (old saintstv I think) stopped taking money from my account. The new company running saints tv say that this is not them.

I think if the majority of us were to phone to cancel the problem would get sorted a lot quicker. I also seem to be having trouble . Now though I do have it on one of my computors to a point. Not as expected and the commentary is dire,(being polite). Added to that is the loss of normal radio which I occasionally listened to whilst on here and other sites. the other still refuses to play the player even if I reload all the programmes and use my id. Have also contacted the club who tell you to contact the media people themselves.

Can't be in Huddersfield this weekend so will try the player out on Saturday. If it's ****e I'll make sure I talk to the real person in charge and not some helpdesk in the middle of no where.

I sent this this Morning

Subject: Saints Player

Good Morning

I have recently signed up to Saints Player, unfortunately I am at the end of the copper wire for my Broadband so the speed varies, I have found that when playing a video on the Saints player it buffers with frustrating frequency. I have the latest Flash Player and run it through Google Chrome. Is there any chance of you changing the run bar so that I can pull the play position back while it continues to buffer the rest of the Video, as this works for me when playing Videos with this kind of input.

I have tried switching from High to Low with no Joy.

To be honest if I get a stuttering performance continuously I will probably cancel my subscription at the end of my trial, Please remember not everyone gets the lightspeed connection speeds that they waffle on about on the adverts.

Thank you for your attention in this matter

This was the reply that I received ....................... Seems a bit standard issue as everything is running properly and every other streaming site works.

What about my Google Chrome that I mention in my original emither. Maybe some of the information will be of use to some of you out there.

As I say I am at the very end of the wire my maximum speed is recorded at 800kb and averages about 625 both of which the know alls about this subject are amazed at. as BT will not be speeding the system up for another 2 years at least I might just be knocking Saints Player on the head.

No offence to anyone who sells iT, but I very rarely hear of anyone who has bought a "wonderous" service, system, that works straight out of the box.
