saints_is_the_south Posted 15 August, 2009 Share Posted 15 August, 2009 F*cking hope so! We won't be anywhere near going down at the end of the season (hopefully!)
saint_bert Posted 15 August, 2009 Author Share Posted 15 August, 2009 It wasn't me saying were going down. It was more of a thing to question wether it actually sinks in to our players and some of our fans where we are untill we takeca defeat away at a place such as huddersfield

saints_is_the_south Posted 15 August, 2009 Share Posted 15 August, 2009 I'm dissapointed more with the performance today than the result. Always knew Huddersfield were one of the favs for promotion and that we could lose today but i'd have expected us to put up a fight atleast, from listening on the radio our performance sounded perfetic, we had 1 fecking chance (which we scored) and didn't dominate any part of the game. 3 or 4 players are needed before the end of August and a big response on Tuesday is a MUST. As already posted any less than 7 points from the next 3 games will be not good enough imo.

Bailey Posted 15 August, 2009 Share Posted 15 August, 2009 Nothing more than a co-incidence. This season has come too soon for us. Pardew hasn't had long to work with the squad and he hasn't been able to bring in all the players he would have liked either. By the end of August, we'll have a much better idea of how we will fare this season.

saint_bert Posted 15 August, 2009 Author Share Posted 15 August, 2009 It's just to point out what happened when we were relegated from the premiership And what has happened when we got relegated from the championship I wanted to ask if people thought it was coincedence. Or if people thought there was more to it. Things like getting aclimitisde and used to division etc.

VectisSaint Posted 15 August, 2009 Share Posted 15 August, 2009 Or if people thought there was more to it. What is aclimitisde, is it some sort of STD?

Was that a joke or a misinterpretation of the fact that he meant "the division" (as in the league) not "division" (as in a lack of togetherness)? :-)

ruddick Posted 15 August, 2009 Share Posted 15 August, 2009 Wow. What a fantastic response. About all a thread on whether or not there is anything more than coincidence in similar results that three very different teams, players, managers and circumstances have provided deserves really. I mean come on - do you seriously think there is anything more than coincidence in it? Seriously? Cos if you do you need to check in somewhere that isn't a web forum. Maybe we should contact Danny Wallace and get him to add this to his 'Conspiracies' series, along with such things as the Titanic's insurance fraud conspiracy claim and the 9/11 inside job conspiracy claim... Course it's a sodding coincidence!!
Kadeem Hardison Posted 17 August, 2009 Share Posted 17 August, 2009 This is indeed a rather spooky occurrence. I have just looked back through Saints' history and have now spotted several other occurrences of Saints drawing at home only to lose away the next game. Something odd is going on here and I don't like it. I don't like it one bit.

If we got relegated EVERY time that happened then I might start to listen.

Well as things stand now we will relegate to League 2. But, I think we are still team building with ONE manager whereas the last two relegation seasons involved crap managers and more than one manager. stinhk Posted 17 August, 2009 Share Posted 17 August, 2009 Wow, I really wasn't prepared for that! Admin's please can you flag the thread title so we are aware that we will be stepping into an alternative universe. But it did make me wonder how many home-draw/away-loss sequences we have had over the years - maybe not too many? I've had a browse around the forum today and there's been some crackers. Cheered me up no end!

Prince Jazzbo Posted 17 August, 2009 Share Posted 17 August, 2009 It sounds like something out of that film 23 or Knowing. 3216549851352496851516546865465488986513154689865132165468898651151565466565656546565988988641155688775662158778999996655998855552148652951448987744 Having interpreted this sequence of numbers I can confirm that we will be drawn away to Barnet in the 1st Round of the FA Cup, we will win 2-1 with an injury time winner from a Lallana shot deflecting off of Pulis' backside.
