Legod Third Coming Posted 18 August, 2009 Share Posted 18 August, 2009 It's time to stop. Premiership: Rousing player article on OS. Abject performance. Apologetic chance to change article on OS. Abject performance. Championship: Rousing player article on OS. Abject performance. Apologetic chance to change article on OS. Abject performance. League One: Rousing player article on OS. Abject performance. Apologetic chance to change article on OS. Abject performance. League Two??? Let's do something different shall we? How about a media-lock-down? How about a little less hot air and a bit more HARD WORK. How about GRAFTING until the skin is raw and the muscles cry enough? How about we break the cycle of bullsh!t which still infests members of our team who seem to have forgotten the basics of football? We should expect change to take time. We've had five years of abject performances. But to CHANGE, things have to CHANGE. Let's start with something rare as rocking horse excrement. Some fecking honesty from the people who ultimately decide whether we win or lose. The players.

Katalinic Posted 18 August, 2009 Share Posted 18 August, 2009 I am sure who ever is wheeled out will be "up for it" on Saturday and "determined to put things right for the fans".

I'd rather no apologetic waffle and false promises/rallying cries on the OS the team needs to put things right on the pitch were it counts
Legod Third Coming Posted 18 August, 2009 Author Share Posted 18 August, 2009 I am sure who ever is wheeled out will be "up for it" on Saturday and "determined to put things right for the fans". At a time when all of us are having to work twice as hard for a third of the result, all I ask is that I see my team give their all. If that is insufficient, so be it. If that is not in evidence, you can take my gate income and shove it where the sun don't shine, because it's too hard to come by these days. I really mean it. Talk is cheap - it's worthless actually - whereas hunger, desire and effort are free to give but priceless.

Junction 9 Posted 18 August, 2009 Share Posted 18 August, 2009 Best stay clear of the Echo then They'll all have a scattering of 6's and 7's. They just make it up.

Pick any club that has been successful over the past five years, at whatever level - be it Man United, Swansea, Wigan, Peterborough or Burton Albion. They all give anodyne rallying calling interviews to the local media week in, week out. All of them. All the time. Suddenly not doing interviews to the local paper and the official club website is not going to win us a single additional throw in. It's just part of the job. We're stuck with them, much like Wasps, Tesco and Alan Hansen.

I know, but FFS, every other club seems to issue rallying calls and then someone respond to them - ie. on the pitch not on a forum
Mr X Posted 19 August, 2009 Share Posted 19 August, 2009 I know, but FFS, every other club seems to issue rallying calls and then someone respond to them - ie. on the pitch not on a forum And thats the key point our players issue a rallying call and then go out and give another totally unsatisfactory woefully inept performance and have to issue yet another one. I guess its best not to even look at the OS these days
SaintRichmond Posted 19 August, 2009 Share Posted 19 August, 2009 I am sure who ever is wheeled out will be "up for it" on Saturday and "determined to put things right for the fans". That rules out Rasiak and Saga then ????? I'd make Rasiak Rot in our Sixth Team ..... he'd soon want to give 100% once he realises that Poland do not pick players in Hants 2 Why should we keep on paying him for less than 20% effort ???????
