oxfordshire_saint Posted 5 September, 2009 Share Posted 5 September, 2009 Signed for Hungarian side Debrecen today http://footballpress.net/?action=read&idsel=43393 Although he didn't have the best of times here, I'd have thought he would've gone somewhere a little better than the Hungarian league. Still, we get to see him being ran ragged at Anfield in the Champions League!
shurlock Posted 5 September, 2009 Share Posted 5 September, 2009 Glad to see the news agency is doing its homework. Debrecen have signed former Strasbourg's Hungarian international defender Rudi Skacel (26) until June 2010.

VectisSaint Posted 6 September, 2009 Share Posted 6 September, 2009 The hungarian leagure is not too bad. True, it is at least as good as L1

saint_stevo Posted 6 September, 2009 Share Posted 6 September, 2009 Jordan Robertson was last spotted playing in the Hungarian league. League 2 now, no loan at Bury Debrecen, champions league, sounds like a good move for him to me
Arizona Posted 6 September, 2009 Share Posted 6 September, 2009 Good luck to him. It's a shame he left IMO as I think Pardew could have recognised his attacking tallents and got the best out of him playing in midfield. Given how badly we've been lacking width and creativity this season, he's the type of player we've been missing.
hamster Posted 6 September, 2009 Share Posted 6 September, 2009 Would have made a difference yesterday in my opinion. More versatile than some give him credit for, unfortunately his head had dropped a long while back and I was hoping AP would be the man to get him back to his best, playing in his best position not simply filling the gap at left back. Never mind, good luck to him (he gave a mate of mine his 15 minutes fame with THAT song) and thanks for all the fish. Interesting I feel that we have a new hero who hasn't actuall signed yet in Papa Waigo, I hope we treat him a darned sight better than we did Rudi, even if he doesn't live up to the hype. Ash Posted 6 September, 2009 Share Posted 6 September, 2009 He didn't live up to the hype but he did pretty well when played in midfield. On the left wing we haven't had anyone as good as him since he was shipping out on loan or played at left back, then ignored. The most shocking waste of talent I've seen at saints was sticking him at left back, no wonder the bloke's head dropped. I wish him well.
