Thomson to Torquay (Loan)

I thought that he played well for the Trinidad U21s a few weeks ago, he was according to the commentators their 'star' player. However there is a big difference between that and the 'heavy weight' play of Div 1.

I hope that he does well at Torquay and comes back the better for it as I think that he has good potential.

In Pardew we trust.

Confirmed on OS

...looks like it may turn into a permanent deal too, according to the local paper down there

''TORQUAY United have signed Southampton winger Jake Thomson on loan. The signing was due to be completed on Tuesday.

Thomson, 20, is joining the Gulls for a month initially, with a view to an extension and possibly a permanent deal.''

agreed a few fish and chip meals in Brixham' date=' plenty of weigh work and he will come back a better player[/quote']

Having read MLT's book wouldn't it be better to have macD breakfast followed by Chips & fish fingers, none of that vegtable rubbish as it is known from matt it didn't do him any good :)

Thomson is already reaching world class status...A few weeks in Torquay and he will come back a valuable asset to the squad come xmas and our play off run in.

Come on Thommo....You can do it my son....Torquay will not really be able to afford his wages. Pards knows this lad is going to be great.

Far far too lightweight at the moment and not impressed me at all. I think he's going to need a lot longer than a month to develop into the sort of player that can make a real difference to us. The one thing we need to be careful over is not to leave ourselves too short for the JPT game as we don't really want to be overloading our first team with games.

I heard he was only on 500 a week basic... Torquay must be skint if they can't afford that :p

this guy will get better, international games and competitive games will help him loads, gobern for example has come back very sharp from MK Dons which AP should notice, hopefully JT can do the same.
