doddisalegend Posted 2 March, 2010 Share Posted 2 March, 2010 As we don't play well on poor pitches this doesn't bode well http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8544719.stm Apparently there are better pitches in the lower leagues:smt103 Still think we'll win though:)
The9 Posted 2 March, 2010 Share Posted 2 March, 2010 Where's "Wembely" ? Ok, I'm just bitter cos you got the link up before me. He did say it "wasn't quite there", not that it was rubbish, and even excellent pitches cut up after torrential rain.

Damn my fumbled typing I was just in a hurry to get the link up before you;) How come you can't edit titles any way? Somehow I don't think it's going to be a bad as Stockport's, Colchester's or Wycombe's pitch. I wonder how many lower league pitches Milner has played on this year? CWD Posted 2 March, 2010 Share Posted 2 March, 2010 I mentioned this to a mate when watching the game. quite frankly its totally unacceptable that our NATIONAL team's pitch is quite so appalling. JM is absolutely right to complain

SNSUN Posted 2 March, 2010 Share Posted 2 March, 2010 It's ok lads, Carlisle just extended the loan of a Stoke midfielder. He must be so used to playing in the red and white stripes with a bunch of former Saints that he'll consistantly pass to us. In addition, we're approximately one billion, four hundred thousand, six hundred and forty two times better than Carlisle.
doddisalegend Posted 2 March, 2010 Author Share Posted 2 March, 2010 hopefully this guy will be playing for Carlisle one goal all season thats what you call a striker, cost them 75K. Can you imagine what this season would be like if we didn't have Marcus? even 75k one goal a season strikers would be out of our price range:smt104 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/carlisle_united/8544974.stm
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 2 March, 2010 Share Posted 2 March, 2010 to be honest the new wembley pitch has never been good. Either it cuts up or it is too long and the ball sticks. To think this stadium cost £750m and yet st mary's at a mere £30m has a far better pitch. That said St mary's is proably the best pitch in the country.
