LA77 Posted 5 April, 2010 Share Posted 5 April, 2010 Block 4 is full of idiots. stupid thickos that make up childish songs that make no sense. Like "it's like a wembley in ere" and "where were you at wembley?" Not sure what their point was ffs. And the usual shouts of "handball" that went on and on and on and on. It wasn't funny the 1st time let alone the 30th time. Too many superfans, and the irony is I've not seen one of them at an away game
Appy Posted 5 April, 2010 Share Posted 5 April, 2010 Block 42 as you would expect is also full of idiots. The same guy for the past 3-4 games has said shoot everytime kelvin takes a goal kick or any sort of clearance in his own half. He was told to shut up today. He didn't reply. Been trying to find somewhere with atmosphere yet not Northam as I'm not nearly as excitable/p1ssed as the northam lot are when I go :-D kinda wanted to be dugout side too to see the action on the bench... Back to the drawing board then.......

Saint_Jonny Posted 5 April, 2010 Share Posted 5 April, 2010 Interesting, as I dunno why the itchen "singers" even bother these days, seems most have moved round to the kingsland corner, must be 20 left in itchen north? And I can see the Nazi stewards constantly badgering you to sit down. Fook that for a laugh. You might think it sounds great but no one else can hear it

doddisalegend Posted 5 April, 2010 Share Posted 5 April, 2010 Even the chapel started a couple of songs with some prompting from the Northam. Sadly the old dear next to me wasn't so keen and had to put her hands over here ears when it got a bit to loud. Mind you between the sing she was effing and blinding like a ****ing trooper. Is not often you get to hear some women in her seventies shouting "for ****s sake saints play it on the deck":smt107

for_heaven's_Saint Posted 6 April, 2010 Share Posted 6 April, 2010 who's the main bloke? Probably about late forties, fairly short, quite 'chubby', usually wears the away shirt. He's the one who always shouts 'pork', and 'Fonte' in a stupid voice and sings stupid songs and everyone's name to the old 'Saganowski' tune. He's harmless really and probably quite a nice bloke but he just can't resist shouting something stupid at every opportunity, it's almost like be has Saints-related tourettes. It's funny at times but not particularly enjoyable every single game everytime anything happens. And before someone says, I don't say anything to him because I really can't be bothered with the hassle of confontation, I just moan about it to my mate instead. And some morons see no inconsistency in jumping into a verse of knees up mother brown (last time I checked it was SMS not Upton Park deep in c o c kney land) and then having the nerve to berate other for singing the slow-version of oh when the saints, moaning that its a farkin tottenham song. It happens without fail. Edited 6 April, 2010 by shurlock

Excuse me but not all of us in Block 4 are 'thickos or idiots'. agreed, some of the blokes at the back are ****s eg the 'were you at wembley?' and 'its just like at wembley' chants which i didnt understand. oh and the annoying bloke who shouts 'come on saints, together now, together' at every opportunity (every 2 minutes!). and the 'is there a fire drill?' chants every ****ing week when some away fans go for a half time pint etc  anyway, what i'm trying to say is that that's only a select few at the very back. I can confirm, not that i need to that i did not sing were you at wembley or let him die. You were also slating people for not attending away games and again i can confirm that the 2 of us who go together and frequent block 4 have attended 8 away games this season. benjamsandwich28 Posted 6 April, 2010 Share Posted 6 April, 2010 I was sat in Block 7 yesterday, first time i've ever sat in Itchen (thanks to a couple of complimentary tickets!), 2nd row back, next to the bench and right behind Pards. Was cool from that perspective to hear the players banter and listen to Pards but that was where the enjoyable matchday experience ended... As expected, atmosphere was shocking but what stunned me beyond belief was some **** who was sat a few rows behind me... About 40 minutes in at 1-0 down, during the silence, this ***** shouts out to Pardew 'Oi Pards, it's crap out there, shake it up'. To which Pards turned round, ran his eyes up and down the stand, spotted the knob and put his finger to his lip to 'shh' him and said 'I know, thanks for pointing it out'. From now on, complimentary tickets or not, I shall be paying for seats anywhere else but the Itchen and the disgusting atmosphere it has.

I meant in a way that you didn't read what I wrote, not that you're one of them that sing silly songs. I don't care who goes to away games, or how many matches people attend. I aimed that point at the people that were slagging off other fans in the Itchen with the "wembley" songs etc. I know loads of people that go to away games in block 4. My original point was stating the irony of these idiots. Anyway, it's all part of the entertainment and it's usually good in block 4. Just now and then at some games the stupidity levels go through the roof.

Golden Balls Posted 6 April, 2010 Share Posted 6 April, 2010 Been in the Northam for 5-6 years now and never hated it so much. The chavs in block 41 row MM (ish) were at a new level of pikey yesterday. They know absolutely bugger all about football, highlighted by "That Fonte is sh!t" comment. When we're losing we're going down, when we're winning we're going up. But the whole second half, all they did was shout "reeeeeeeeeey" "get into em, f(k em up" and "let him die" at the top of their lungs and laughing their heads off. Typical pikey who only wants to chant about pompey....

ericb Posted 6 April, 2010 Share Posted 6 April, 2010 i don't know why everyone moans i'm quite liking the fact that we've got three proper areas for noise now and even the Chapel is getting in it every now and again. Course there are bell ends in all sections but that's just a cross section of society. Got a feeling SMS could finally get to Dell levels of noise as we go up the leagues now since our support is starting to seem more up for it than when we were last in the prem'
