Sums up football and it's stupidity. We moan (rightly) about the lack of action taken by Governing bodies on appalling racism in Spanish Football (and sport generally) yet when a suitably harsh and just punishment is meted out at long last, people moan as it disrupts their travel plans! I can understand the timing isn't great but why not just let the Liverpool fans in and keep the Atletico fans out - would be a weird situation. I suppose it would be risky as Atletico's thugs would be out en masse ready to have a pop at the scousers'.

They have a point, most fans would have booked flights and hotels by now. Being fu*ked about a week before travel isn't the best thing to look forward to and not knowing where you are going doesn't help.

I think I'd be ******ed off if I had flights and hotels booked and then suddenly found out I had to do an extra 200 miles each way to see the game.

If they've booked with Easyjet , the airport will be 200 miles from Madrid anyway, so may get lucky and land in exactly the right place.

I went to Frankfurt for the world cup and flew into the city airport. The easy jet flight flew into another airport listed as Frankfurt and they were 120 miles away...... a few slightly ****ed off football fans
