Hamilton Saint Posted 29 March, 2011 Share Posted 29 March, 2011 Man, I admired that guy! He's by far my favourite Saints player of recent memory.
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 29 March, 2011 Share Posted 29 March, 2011 If he gets fit and is playng in Sweden's top flight can we re-sign him please. Could do a job in League one/Championship IMO.
Lighthouse Posted 29 March, 2011 Share Posted 29 March, 2011 Good for him never giving up. Everyone is always so negative about it. Last time he came back from a seemingly impossible situation and played very well in a young, poor team. It was brilliant to see him back and I'm sure he considered it worth e effort even if just for ten games. No, he really didn't. I've seen players looked rusty, but in that home game against Barnsley he looked 5 yards off the pace. I admire the guy's spirit, but how many comebacks has he attempted now? He's 35. Hardly as if he's got a promising career ahead of him. If he isn't careful, he could serious f**k his knee up and be unable to walk properly for years. a1ex2001 Posted 30 March, 2011 Share Posted 30 March, 2011 If he isn't careful, he could serious f**k his knee up and be unable to walk properly for years. I think you'll find he already has, long term he is going to have serious issues come back or not. Total respect for him, he was a rock for us and clearly loves the game so much he doesn't know what else to do. Always gave 100% for the club even when he wasn't fit if the same could be said of every player we'd still be in the prem, Good luck to him. There is no way we are in a situation where we need to sign a crocked 35 year old centre half. Remove romantic focus glasses

It's a perfectly reasonable statement really. I'm sure everyone appreciates Killers contribution, but that was 7 years ago. 35 year olds who've spent 7 years in teh physio room don't suddenly start playing 30 games of competitive football every season. Killer is the past. Move on.

dune Posted 31 March, 2011 Share Posted 31 March, 2011 Good player but arrogant. Saw him in town and said hello and he couldn't even be arsed to reply. Didn't think much of him after that.
John McGrath's Jockstrap Posted 31 March, 2011 Share Posted 31 March, 2011 Great player, in the past, move on. He should respect what his body is telling him and look to the future (which isn't playing).
Colinjb Posted 31 March, 2011 Share Posted 31 March, 2011 Good player but arrogant. Saw him in town and said hello and he couldn't even be arsed to reply. Didn't think much of him after that. Odd, completely the opposite of my impression of the man. Extremely friendly happy to talk and very pleasant, you must have caught him on a bad day. Chin Strain Posted 1 April, 2011 Share Posted 1 April, 2011 I think you'll find he already has, long term he is going to have serious issues come back or not. Have you actually got anything to base that on? No, thought not. He's an articulate guy who has a desire to play football if his body allows. He's not stupid, he's not going to risk his health. If he thinks he can do it and has had advice that he will not suffer as a result, then why not?
