svetigpung Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 Hi I'm travelling over to the UK with some friends for the weekend and the MKDons match. As I'm in need of a new pair of quality Dr Martins , which shops in Soton sell your good old shoes/boots? There used to be one in Marlands but thats disappeared now. Any tips?
Liquidshokk Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 Makro normally sell dr martins. Got a pair from there cheaper than anywhere else last year

Spudders Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 If you are in possession of a hot-tub, you could turn it into a time machine and go back to the 80's where I believe they were more widely available?
miserableoldgit Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 Did you mean Pedant? May have done.......

I liked that film. "It's like it's some kind of.....hot tub time machine.....*looks dead at camera*"

Dimond Geezer Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 We weren't allowed DM boots in school, so I bought a pair of DM shoes. Still have them today & wear them when gardening 29 years later. (When I was a 14 year-old rudie, I never thought I'd be gardening ).
ericofarabia Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 I thought this was going to be about dog conditioning tablets!!!
The Majestic Channon Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 Just got myself another harrington after 28 years! think i'll pass on dm's though
100%Red&White Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 When I was a 14 year-old rudie, I never thought I'd be gardening I found an old pair of DMs in the cupboard recently, dusted them off and they looked almost new. Don't know if I could be bothered with lacing them up these days - just bending down to tie them would be a bleedin' effort!

mcjwills Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 I always had a pair of Steel toe cap DM's when I worked in Heavy Industry.
Redbul Posted 31 March, 2011 Posted 31 March, 2011 I've still got a pair of 8 hole DM boots. Quality footwear. You've got to get them with the yellow stitches around the welt though.
