good artilce. Seems like after training all the lads are given lessons on how to give interviews in the same style as adkins. I was loving some of his choices of phrases such as "I remember on my first day through the door I was training with him and somebody told me he was only 16" or is he an adkins love child. You decide!!

While we're on the subject of Dickson, is anyone else puzzled as to why we do not use his long throw in attack?

It must presumably be team orders? He quite often uses a long throw down the line to get the ball out of tricky defensive positions, but whenever we have a throw-in near the opposition penalty area, the long throw is not used. Dickson is no Delap, but he does have a fair throw. I'd have thought it coud be a useful option in attack sometimes.

Decent read. I'm pleased Dickson got a run at LB towards the end of the season because we saw what a very good player he is. Came in for some unfair stick when he was out of the team / played out of position.

It wasn't unfair he had some awful games early in the season, Plymouth and Brentford at home spring readily to mind, and that shocker in the ManU game too. He got better thank goodness, but my general feeling about Dickson is he is no Dan Harding......

In the Plymouth game he played left wing. Against United he came on CM. Hence my point about people judging him before he had a run in his natural position.

Since he's played a run of games there, he has shown he is a very good player.

Over egging it some what IMO. He started his career at left wing not LB so he wasn't really out of postion, The FA cup game against Cheltnham sticks out constantly pushed of the ball very weak in the challenge and that was at LB. He has got better as the season has gone on and is a useful squad player for cover at LB/LM but very good player not IMO.
