No need for coffee makers

Those new wholebean instants are really nice! Kenco Millicano especially and Carte Noir Instinct too ..... anyone tried them?

About time we had a 'damn fine coffee' thread.

I've tried Millicano. IMO it's more 'real' than the usual freeze-dried products, but I don't think it's got the taste of wholebean. Haven't tried the Cafe Noir though so will check that out.

If my wife drank 75 cups of strong coffee she would 100% kill anyone who was within reach.

Cafeine has a real effect on her temper.

Has she killed before? Perhaps under the influence of a few triple espressos?

I have been following a diet since Monday that for the first 5 days is almost a detox, includes no caffeine. Have been drinking decaffeinated coffee, but **** me, the headaches Monday to Wednesday were almost unbearable:x. Took a lot of will power, especially as I have a brilliant coffee shop next door to me at work. Diet or no diet (the food side of it I've had no probs with) I will be back on the proper stuff next week.

Before that it was the Kenco Millicano I've been drinking at work. Good, but not as nice as "ordinairy" Carte Noire, my favourite instant, not tried their Instinct yet but it might well be first on next weeks list .

Got to be Whittard beans, freshly ground at home, in an espresso for me.. Guatamalan Elephant is the fave at the mo.

Yes I know I'm a coffee snob, but I can't help it. Could never touch instant coffee ever again...

Yuck, Too much of a brand themselves for my tastebuds I'm afraid.

Cafetiere is the closest you will ever get to a bean's hidden treasure. Coffee is not at it's best when bombarded with steam, boiling water etc, good coffee merely needs hot water and a minute to stew.
