Killer on the OS "hopefully in a couple of days I'll be back training"

Oh dear, let's hope so.

Wouldn't worry too much about this. It seems like Killer was always going to be rested for the Exeter game, so will only miss training today. I suspect he will not play 2 games in less than a week until September or so.

As soon as Davies & Lancashire are fully back up and running we'll have a lot more options at the back so will be able to protect him that much better. Definitely only one game a week at the moment.

Hmmm, it seems to be the same as the Guardian report I posted in this topic:

;)

:D

It's a mark of good journalism though - someone that has done his homework and not just bashed off a match report in 30 seconds so that he can bugger off down the pub.

Just to add one thing to this thread: the Observer has a section throughout the season headed 'The Verdict' in which there's comment on each Championship game from the two managers plus one supporter, normally from the home side. In yesterday's Observer, the Cardiff supporter's comment was:

It was OK, in patches, but if I was a Southampton fan I'd be feeling pretty devastated with the result. We were lucky to come away with a win; the performance sis little to match the optimism of pre-season. We've lost games like this in the past, though, so it's nice to savour the last-minute winner. Southampton tried really hard.

Interesting, I think, to see it from that perspective...
