Stereo Key Codes etc

The missus has a Peugeot 206 with standard Blaupunkt stereo in it, had to replace the battery a while back, radio display backlight had gone, didn't know the 4 character unlock code anyway, end result, one locked radio and car silence.

 

Anyone know anywhere where I can get an unlock code, and what info is required from the car ?

 

Please don't tell me to take it to a dealer, they want £50 to have the car from us for a day and type a number into a computer, the robbing gets ! And trust me, I've phoned around.

I've bought a code from eBay before for about 99p, from memory you'll need to remove the stereo to access the id numbers on the back of it. Always choose a seller with a decent feedback rating.

might sound like a stupid question but have you looked in the manual for the car? the original dealership should've written the code in the back of there, there's usually a section for it

Or phone the main dealer who orginally supplied the car new. I've never had one refuse to give me the number or expect to get paid yet (as long as you can prove ownership)

When I bought my Jag they had it on file, confirmed it over the phone!

 

Failing that the eBay route is very quick and easy.
