Johnson proved yet again he is a liability. Gave the ball away so many times

Think Woy has made a huge mistake not taking proper cover for Johnson.

Liked the way that England eventually worked out how to play a short passing possession game, but again in the early stages Gerrard (& Henderson) were trying far too many Hollywood ballsthat simply gave possession away.

Also worryingly, we scored twice from set pieces against a team of midgets, the actual creativity around the box was not good.

Playing 3 out of his 4 strikers in one match as well? Surely he cannot go into the actual WC thinking like that? Sterling or Barkley are the obvious choice for the Wellbeck position, but neither of them did much last night to show they will make an impact on a game.

Overall? felt England could have really done with JRod last night and a RB that knew how to pass the football.

Don't think we will be good enough to worry Italy, they can just sit back, wait for Johnson to gift them the ball and tear us apart down the space he leaves

Lallana looked effective when he ran at them with the ball. However he couldn't play his usual roaming game because Rooney was doing that but was fairly ineffectual. When ever I watch England I don't see what Rooney brings. Johnson didn't look like a player of the caliber needed for an international team. Central midfield looked pretty solid but the defence looked shaky detailing with through balls and had no pace to recover. And one more Johnson complaint when he got beat the central defender came out to cover and instead of dropping into the central position continued to pointlessly follow them wide, leaving a massive space in the middle, kind of like a reverse Danny Fox.
