Nothing new. When I did A level Politics, our tutor told us that 1 in 6 of our countrymen were unable to find Britain on a map. This was in 1991. Think this is a case of the Internet shining a light on what's always been there, although with Michael Gove at the helm, peeps could conceivably get a lot dumber

Never forget when one of the other lads at work was telling a story about how he had heard one of his neighbours (elderly) put their other half out of their misery and put them to sleep......he could not think of the right word to call it...

 

someone piped up and said, "was it euthanasia"

I am sure I read something the other day about the Navigator and only living member from the crew of the Enola Gay going to give a talk in a high school, when he was introduced to the class by the tutor as a veteran war hero from World War Eleven he just got up and walked straight out of the school.
