um pahars Posted 22 December, 2008 Share Posted 22 December, 2008 As before, been looking at current form tables and have noticed that Plymouth are bottom if you look at last 6 games (OK, so maybe we're 22nd in the same table and away from home, but it's a sort of positive). They have also only won one of their last 6 home matches. We need something out of this game due to Forest playing Donny, and given their form surely we can't rule out at least a point. Ponty Posted 22 December, 2008 Share Posted 22 December, 2008 We have a team that can win this. Whether the team that can win it turns up on the day is anyone's guess.
exit2 Posted 22 December, 2008 Share Posted 22 December, 2008 well be interesting to see if the away game is as exciting as the 0-0 at home a few weeks back
The Farmer Posted 22 December, 2008 Share Posted 22 December, 2008 That is not good news, that is irrelevant news. Lowe will still be here win, lose or draw. A run of good form will just keep him hanging in there longer and prolong our agony.

BTW - Any chance of bringing Forever Saints out of it's current Admin-less stupour to encourage a more widespread discussion on the club's future? Obviously it had its mentalist racists too but I can overlook that

Ponty Posted 22 December, 2008 Share Posted 22 December, 2008 Pay per post is a brilliant idea actually. That way a registered user could pay, say 10p, if he/she absolutely, positively had to have the last word in a debate. I shall put it to Baj immediately. I've had a few requests for its return, but been a bit busy last few months. I still hold the domains so might do something in the new year as I have been laid off by one of my regular employers so might need something to occupy my time!! There would have to be a glimmer of hope that the future may bring about some sort of change at the top for the better though, all too demoralising at the moment. Perhaps The Farmer can look into it??? One of the strangest forums I have ever visited - seemed totally preoccupied with trying to 'put down' this site and it's posters, whilst they seemed to have no more than a handful of posters contributing to their own forum. The most activity that I saw on there was from posters here who went to moan that they had been temporarily barred from here - it was almost like this sites very own detention room. Strange place - could of worked as an alternate Saints forum but really just looked like a place where a few people went to vent their rage. I wouldn't do it on my own as can't be on it 24 hours day but I am up for seeing if someone wants to co-mod it. I want it to have a front page with some space for some articles with a link to the forum, just like the good old Lowe Bashing days. If anyone out there wants to meet up for a beer down The Bridge to discuss co-modding, email me: saintsforum@foreversaints.com

If you looked beyond that there were actually some interesting posts and threads. It did get a bit extreme at times but it was refreshing to hear alternative points of view on there, especially when S4E was being criticised for being too heavy handed. I believe some mods and admin from here posted on there so they must have felt the same.

I think you're a bit misguided there mate, I don't think there was anybody there who had a particular gripe with TSF (ok 1 or 2 ), but on the whole most people were fairley broad minded. I believe some mods and admin from here posted on there so they must have felt the same. Yeah there was the occasional thread worth reading - there was some guy SFC76 (or something like that) that appeared to basically start most of the threads and then other poster contributed. I am actually a member of the forum - but as I say - didn't use it too much due to it's limited subject matter. Personally I think there is room for other forums to discuss SFC matters - but they need to have their own agenda, topics for debate and style. I think you're a bit misguided there mate, I don't think there was anybody there who had a particular gripe with TSF (ok 1 or 2 ), but on the whole most people were fairley broad minded. Errr just went on there - there are about 8 topics of discussion and this is one of them: http://foreversaints.1talk.net/forever-saints-f1/is-anyone-else-disillusioned-with-the-other-forums-t5.htm As I said - they need to forget other forums and get on with promoting thier own site if they want 'heavy traffic' to contribute on a regular occurance.
