Legod Third Coming Posted 27 December, 2008 Share Posted 27 December, 2008 This is an old tale that if you put a frog in boiling water he leaps out, but if you want to boil him just put him in cold water and start heating it... Reading the reactions on the OS from manager and players is frightening. It seems we don't get the seriousness of our situation - "things like that go against you when you are down here" "keep doing what we have been" "go into the next game hoping to turn it around".... and on and on and on... No. Things must CHANGE. Things don't just 'go against you'. And if you keep doing what you always did, don't be surprised when you get the same results!!!! When will the club wake up once and for all - really WAKE up. From top to bottom and understand that only two things will get us out of this mess. HARD WORK. If we go down with every player busting a gut and the coach sweating blood then fair enough. But all we keep seeing over the last six weeks is puff pastry. Big girls swanning around like gays at a pride march. Well fecking wake up you mingy, spineless little spoilt gits. Yes ALL of you. You are not fit to lick the mud off Ron Davies boots. Go back to the training ground. WORK HARDER. LEARN how to FIGHT. Then, and only then, come back and tell us what you have TRIED to get us out of this mess. I don't care whether you're 15 or 33 - ANYONE can give their all. Anyone. Until then, just clear off the lot of you. With your white boots. Mr X Posted 27 December, 2008 Share Posted 27 December, 2008 lol I don't think its that the players aren't trying as such (with the excption of the forest game) just that the system they are played in doesn't work in the slightest. Till we resort to a proper 4-4-2 with a proven striker up front we are doomed. Never thought I'd say it but get Billy Davies in

um pahars Posted 27 December, 2008 Share Posted 27 December, 2008 the players are giving their all they are just not good enough. I fully accept that some just aren't good enough, but I also think others aren't preforming to their best because of tactics, strategies, formations, motivation etc, all things that a new manager could improve/change. The January window might even give us a chance to wheel and deal and get some loans in to replace the poorer players. We need to be looking at this and thinking, this window is probably the only chance we will get to make adjustments to our strategy.

Hopefully we will see some management action (so to speak!) in the next week or so, things can't continue as they are......... surely?

Saga's wage will mean we not only can't sign mew loans but it will mean Cork and Pearce have to go back.

um pahars Posted 27 December, 2008 Share Posted 27 December, 2008 Now watch them climb the table at our expense. Exactly! Along with Charlton, who I think will get better of they appoint someone permanent and spend some of the parachute money. I don't think Doncaster will get better, I think Forest will improve marginally, and we may well need to be looking for another team to tail off in the second half to help us out as I can;t see how we are going to improve dramatically. But the cancer is not necessarily with the manager or coach or puppet or whatever he is. It lies with the organisation of the club. The way to change is to take a leaf out of Sheffield Utd's book, delist the plc and rid ourselves of the senior shareholders forever. And that means Wilde, Crouch AND Corbett as well as losing Rupert Lowe forever. Until we do this we shall continually slide under Lowes leadership of a plc that failed a long time again. GIVE US OUR FOOTBALL CLUB BACK.
Whitey Grandad Posted 27 December, 2008 Share Posted 27 December, 2008 There's a gap opening up between the four of us down there and all the others. For the second half of the season our form has got to improve by at least 6 points unless we are very, very lucky.

ottery st mary Posted 27 December, 2008 Share Posted 27 December, 2008 Can we have Brian Clough, if they don't want him anymore? God bless him, before you start..He could still do a job from his position he rests in now.
