Saint_Abroad Posted 6 January, 2015 Share Posted 6 January, 2015 Thought I'd ask, is the Conference League and various amateur leagues typically wrapped up before the second week of May? I know there are many teams but it seems most leagues outside the Premier League are finished by 2 May 2015, or earlier, this season. Would anyone know of any amateur leagues that play into May, ideally in the Yorkshire area? I'll be in Yorkshire 10 - 16 May and would enjoy seeing the other levels of English football. Thanks in advance,
stevegrant Posted 6 January, 2015 Share Posted 6 January, 2015 You might catch the playoff finals for the Conference North and possibly the Northern Premier. The regular season ends on 25th April in the Conference North, and the playoff semi-finals will be the following weekend and then the midweek after that. The final is at the ground of the team who finished higher in the league.
Kingsland Red Posted 6 January, 2015 Share Posted 6 January, 2015 Leagues outside the Premier League and Football League can only extend their regular season beyond the first weekend in May with prior agreement with the FA, and then only due to a fixture backlog caused by a sustained period of inclement weather. hutch Posted 6 January, 2015 Share Posted 6 January, 2015 You could always try Fratton Park.

Saint_Abroad Posted 11 January, 2015 Author Share Posted 11 January, 2015 To add to this, do the amateur teams (Skipton Town AFC, Knaresborough Town AFC, etc) have some sort of store front that would sell a t-shirt, whether that be a local sports store or other establishment in town? I don't expect them to have a dedicated store. Not that posters on this forum live in North Yorkshire, but is it common for amateur teams to sell t-shirts? My local town, i.e. where I live, sell shirts, and I'm in Kent
