Chez Posted 16 January, 2009 Share Posted 16 January, 2009 YOU HAD A NUMBER OF CLUBS INTERESTED IN YOU WHEN YOU LEFT DERBY, WHY DID YOU CHOOSE SOUTHAMPTON? I actually had a spell in Holland last season and that’s probably where Jan Poortvliet and his staff first saw me play. He spoke to me when he took over at Southampton and told me what he thought my role in the team was going to be and I was impressed with what he had to say. I also spoke to the chairman and everything just felt right, they are a massive club.
the saint in winchester Posted 16 January, 2009 Share Posted 16 January, 2009 Anyone else notice that in the league table that loads on the page, we are above Norwich, above the relegation places? I think they are in error, but it's nice to see it. :-)
saintjay77 Posted 16 January, 2009 Share Posted 16 January, 2009 and i thought that Holmes was a rupes signing and JP didnt have much to do with it. I wonder how much JP had to do with the other signings?
