Mole Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 A lady caller rang Radio Hants and urged fans not to renew their season tickets next year, but pay on a match by match basis. Lowe is not going to listen to fans that want him out so the only way we can get our message accross is in language he understands. By all means pay to go game by game, but don't give him the money early.

Actually, I would advise ST holders to renew late though. Forget early-bird discounts, because they will be cheaper when we go down anyway. Huffton Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 Looking forward to mt renewal plopping onto the doormat in a few weeks. It will be returned with a nice letter to Rupes telling him in no uncertain terms where he can stick it.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 As Huffton has said above,no way in a million years will i,or my family and friends renew our STs. We will also be sending a letter telling Lowe what he can do with his renewals.
lordswoodsaints Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 if we are relegated there wont be many renewals anyway. i think people will wait on the outcome of the season before making a decision.

Exactly, and seeing as we are highly likely to be relegated, they can afford to wait (IF they can stomach the prospect of Third Division football as well)

I can totally understand your felings Ladysaint, and it will be a massive wrench for me. But this is surely the only way to make the shareholders lose confidence with Lowe, which lets face it, is the only thing that will see the back of him. Why not hang on a few months and get a half ST when we have a clearer picture of which direction the club is heading?
rocknrollman no2 Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 I used to think that having a ST was ok as long as i shouted abuse to Lowe, but now i realise that the only way that is going to show Lowe that i want him out,is not to renew. Colinjb Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 As I understand it Season tickets can be sent back and re-embursed for the remaining games can't they? If so everyone send back and then buy FROM NOW on a game by game basis. Point. Made.
alpine_saint Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 I have had my season ticket since the 70's and cant bear not to renew it so sorry this doesnt work for me. Why ? I dont understand. It's not like you wont be able to get a ticket for every game. Or are you afraid that if you dont make the big investment up front, you may actually find yourself not bothering if you have to buy a ticket for each game ? But even for the most loyal diehards there are options such as not buying programmes or stuff from the club shop.
$$$ Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 I'm going to renew. Why the hell should I spend more money and time buying tickets individually cause some mongs think it is a good idea. Things are so much better after the last mong protest after all... :smt044

Rupert can look out at his empty stadium and wave at you,the only ST holder left in the ground. By the way,the last protest helped get rid of Lowe. The only reason hes back now is because of that judas Wilde.
Toomer Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 Enough is enough this is my last season as a ST holder after over 20 years I have got better things to do with my money as my daughter is getting married in 2010.
lordswoodsaints Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 i gave mine a rest last season and found it hard to get motivated to goto every home game,i managed it but it would have been so easy not to. i renewed this season but im not sure about next season.i suppose it is just as easy to get out of the habit of going as it is to get into the habit of going. Is there anyway of getting the list of every season ticket holder - then get them to sign a petition to say that they won't renew if Lowe is still in charge but will if there is a new board. We then sent this to Barclays and see what happens? Could just be done at the ground I guess?
1976_Child Posted 17 January, 2009 Share Posted 17 January, 2009 I have had my season ticket since the 70's and cant bear not to renew it so sorry this doesnt work for me. Ditto. (But not since the 70s). In many ways my ST is my badge of honour and loyalty to my football club. I totally understand why people want to call for a boycott of renewing STs. Anything to be shot of duck hunter and the rest of the feeble-arsed morons in the PLC. The thing is, and this might sound perverse, but having a ST and being a loyal fan means that I can feel justified in being ****ed off like today. Not saying that non-STs are any less ****ed off or any less qualified to voice their anger, but I view SFC as a Club first and foremost and I am a member of the Club. So, forgive me, you all know my views on the cancer which is the PLC, but I will still be renewing my ST for next season because I am a Member and Supporter of our Great Football Club. And I always shall be.

Just need someone to motivate and organise them and some experienced players in this league. it's not rocket science to most people apart from those running the club. saint_ed Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 As Dave Armstrong said though, the trouble with this is that the club will set their budgets largely depending on the number of ST's sold, so the club is going to be ****ed either way....We don't renew and you can be assured that any remaining talent WILL be sold off to the highest bidder. And if we do renew Lowe is thinking we back him. Very difficult situation indeed.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 At the moment, despite the fact I love my seat position, I am almost certainly NOT going to renew. There is NOTHING left to support. The club has died. The team is in chaos tactically. I have nothing but contempt for the Chairman who has made SO MANY strategic mistakes it beggars belief. There is NOTHING left to support...no hope of a home win...what enjoyment is there? None...it's over.
um pahars Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 Short term pain, long term gain. Something needs to give. A message needs to be delivered. Problem is we have no fcking balls. Any other team's fans would be going mental, we're too apathetic.

sotonist Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 We don't renew and you can be assured that any remaining talent WILL be sold off to the highest bidder. who really cares? we're not seeing any genuinely outstanding talent anyway. the prospect of losing these "talented" kids is about as interesting as finding out how much we bring in in transfer fees each transfer window to throw into the black hole. brightspark Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 If so far on this thread it seems, judging from the way posters are putting across their messages, that about 60-70% will not renew their season tickets... then that is a fairy decent drop. The problem is a lot of people on here are clever and know what to do with their money. It is the people who are my age that fill up the Northam and waste their money on total f*ckball. Im expecting their to be about a 25-30% drop in ST renewals. Not enough. Its a way to get rid of the board, or at least put the pressure on, but like boycotting, the fans won't do it. They seem to forget they've seen 1 home win all season.
