ooohTerryHurlock Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 .... What happened at St Marys yesterday was awful. Fans fighting fans - at our once great, happy little club. Whether you are for him or against him the division he has caused is now surely a rift to great to heal. We hear about protest but really and truly he is motivated by one thing and that is money. He is a business man and is only here to protect his investment, but with so much division and in the times of the credit crunch no one is going to touch us with a barge pole. So heres the plan - he only owns six percent, his wife thinks he is nuts for running this gauntlet again so we offer him a million for his shares - under the proviso he walks away and go's for good - we have ten thousand share holders so it would work out at £100 per season ticket. There would be no money up front but we could raise the cash through the season ticket renewals - it equates to a fiver a game - thats all to get rid of him! If he won't go we make it clear that we won't renew and we will take the action necessary. If he talks to his wife and his family and puts them first surely he would except. We then proxy the shares to Crouch/Mac and the rest - We talk to Michael Wilde and form a unified board of the directors that remain. We then channel our energy into the thing that is most important which is surviving in this league! We could make this work - sadly we can only move forward without him and this is a way to do it. Once the club is back on its feet and back where we belong - we can reclaim the money through ST discount or shares. The purpose of this is to get rid of RL and not to take over the club - but it would send the right message to potential investors.

alpine_saint Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 What about Askham, Richard, Withers, Cowan, Winsor-Clive... We need the corporate equivalent of a Krystal Nacht, not a bung to one bloke to bog off.

Rebel Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 his shares are only worth £300K though now aren't they!?! the problem together with his old school friends and the Askham set they own about 30%of the club between them and then there's Wilde and that Asian guy who bought a chunk of shares to make a profit! aintforever Posted 18 January, 2009 Share Posted 18 January, 2009 The way the shares are devided up means that the only way out is admin IMO. There is no way Lowe/Wilde will hand over their shares to Crouch for a nominal sum (which is all they are worth), and there is no way Crouch will pay Lowe/Wilde any more than a nominal sum (if he wanted to own the club outright). I expect if Crouch owned it outright then he would probably put some of his own cash in but that aint gonna happen unless he picks it up for a quid post admin. If an outside interest wanted to buy the club they would wait til admin, we all saw how the share price rockets as soon as interest is reported. No one is going to pay that amount for SFC. We just have to sit back, wait for admin, and hope somone turns up who wants it.

Embarrass the board into selling up and leaving for good. Lawrie, Crouch, Fans with credibility, MLT, local MPs and City Councillors. Put a team together now and use every media outlet available at every opportunity to sell the club. Follow up every sniff of interest with a delegation. And if the buyers back out - keep trying and keep trying. Doing nothing is no longer an option. We must bully the shareholders into selling up and leaving. We must find that buyer as they wont. However we may be going into administration and then everything changes

So if we buy Lowes 6% his gang would hold about 24% and who says that they would n't be approachable to working with the new regime. Its about unity and stability. Lowe is the main stumbling block in achieving this. With him out the way who would say what we can achieve but we need him gone. I don't hate him, don't care for him much either - but with him at the club we cannot move forward. Wilde has already shown that he is a man who is changable so he could also be persuaded to throw his votes behind the new board - As was shown yesterday there are two many people that are up for the wrong kind of fight to try and sort this mess out. So why not give it a go?

Admin is not the way forward. We don't need that process. But we need unity.
