swannymere Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Definitely Messi and Ronaldo, they need a real challenge and being hacked in the Championship could be it. 1

sockeye Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Johansson Zehnter - Mepham - Edwards - Kesler-Hayden Charles - Vanhoutte Sainz - Azaz - Dibling Ache 1
Saint Scott Posted May 21 Posted May 21 (edited) Petrovic Harwood-Belis - Doyle - Edwards Lamptey - Bellingham - Downes - Welington Fellows - Armstrong - Sainz [1] Djordje Petrovic Ramsdale will be sold and Bazunu doesn't fill anybody with confidence. Chelsea will be looking for a new goalkeeper with Sanchez and Jørgensen error prone and unable to hold down the position. Petrovic had a succesful loan spell at Strasbourg with the 4th highest number of clean sheets in an over achieving side that finished 7th in Ligue 1. Will Still came away with just the 1 point from Lens two league games against Strasbourg. With a new No 1 likely heading into Chelsea, this will only push Petrovic further down the pecking order. We have had a good relationship with loan signings from Chelsea in recent years, so we could look in to a loan with obligation if promoted. [2] Callum Doyle Doyle enjoyed another decent loan spell at Norwich City, featuring 40 times in the Championship last season. We'll of course remember him from Leicesters title winning Championship campaign in 23/24. With THB likely out of the door this summer, we need a young CB with plenty of Championship experience and Doyle would fill that void perfectly. [3] Tariq Lamptey Maybe a bit of a stretch, but would make for an excellent KWP long term replacement. Only 24, yet seems to have been around the scene for years, Lamptey's contract expires this summer and could be quite the coup. [4] Jobe Bellingham Providing Sunderland don't win the playoff final Bellingham would be a statement signing. Plenty of championship experience, plays a similar high press under Le Bris that Will Still will implement here. Still only 19, but bigger suitors will likely be in for him too. [5] Tom Fellows Linked with him last summer, Fellows had another successful Championship season despite West Brom failing to reach the playoffs. He topped the assist chart (alongside Josh Murphy) with 14 assists and would be a great addition to the side. [6] Borja Sainz Sainz scored an impressive 18 goals and provided 4 assists for Norwich City last season, despite a mid table finish. Just 12 months to run on his contract makes the 24 year old an interesting proposition, however there is rumoured interest from the continent. Edited May 21 by Saint Scott 3

Some good shouts here especially Sainz, but there will be stiff competitiion with other clubs for him over the summer and Lamptey is a bit injury prone, apart from that I like it
Convict Colony Posted May 23 Posted May 23 I struggle to name the strengths of our own players let alone other teams. 1

Willo of Whiteley Posted May 23 Posted May 23 (edited) Johansson (Stoke) Woodman (out of contract Preston) Lamptey (out of contract Brighton) or Aarons (Bournemouth) Burrows (Sheffield United) Mumba (Plymouth) Neil (Sunderland) Sainz (Norwich) Sargent (Norwich) Rak-Sakyi (Crystal Palace) Ferguson (Brighton) There’s some decent players out there going out of contract that could be useful. Also there’s some that could be available on loan or for a smaller fee. I’m sure we won’t be poaching from potential promotion rivals but definitely on the lower end of the Championship or fringe Premier League they’ll be a few that appeal. Willo of Whiteley Posted May 23 Posted May 23 There’s loads of British players abroad that would probably play for Saints too. The club is more appealing to some than we probably think, hopefully with the right manager it will appeal more.
