Wanted more energy. Admitted people probably wondered what he was doing, but said it was pure instinct.

Presumably, most of us wanted more energy form the team, a faster pace than the strolling about we did in the first half.

For me Fellows is slow, ponderous and predictable and that may be the reasons why Still subbed him off. He should start Scienza who is more mercurial and less predictable and should be match fit by now.

Yeah it's so obvious on the replay. Got his arms all over Macca and backing into him with no intent to try and play the ball. The fact the ref blew up for it before Peck even made contact with the cross tells you how clear it was to him. I heard it from up the other end of the ground, so I don't understand why Peck then went and destroyed the corner flag in celebration because he must have heard it too.

Nah, the ref had decided to blow because he thought he'd given the corner wrongly, I think.

I keep seeing this but it makes no sense.

In that season, Stephens went off injured in the win over QPR. He played no part in the 4 straight defeats that followed. Made his return in the 4-0 win over Blackburn and was in and out of the team for the rest of the unbeaten run.

Didn't play in the defeat at Bristol City that ended that run, but returned next match for the win at WBA (and iirc had a very good game).

I don't think Stephens has done that much wrong this season, THB has been far worse. And while I do like Quarshie, he did have a poor game last night with several mistakes. Poor on both the goal and disallowed goal, and had a few other shaky moments. He's still young and raw, so it's to be expected, but I don't think it would be a shock if he dropped out next game.

I've watched Stephens play off the ball all season and he's consistently been out of position, ball watching and has avoided taking responsibility. Admittedly THB has been even worse, but that is a pretty low bar. On the ball Stephens consistently slows us down.

What he's good at is making recovery tackles which pleases the fans but you have to ask the question why is he making last ditch tackles in the first place. In my opinion it's because he's shite

Lots of praise for Ross scoring twice (rightly), but to be honest he could have had 5 (2 good headed efforts, the best not in the highlights, plus the Cooper brain fart Mk1), and he also (slightly dubiously perhaps) won the penalty. If you have a striker that can create/finish 6 good chances in a game then that bodes well. Just hope he can stay fit. His hold up and at times defensive play was also very good.
