Toussaint Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed such an over reaction from the press, Middlesbrough, social media, and some of our own sanctimonious self flagellating fans. We seem hated, and yet there is so much more wrong with football that needs to be addressed, more than a nerd analysis seeking to gain a very marginal advantage. From the DT Southampton through to play-off final – but face prospect of being thrown out 13 May 2026 8:13am BST Southampton beat a “heartbroken” Middlesbrough to reach the play-off final but face an anxious wait as the English Football League weigh up whether to expel them over “Spygate”. Kim Hellberg, the Middlesbrough head coach, choked back tears and accused Southampton of wrecking his dream as Shea Charles’ 116th-minute winner sent Tonda Eckert’s side to Wembley it goes on about THB , ball boys and everything in between. That’s not even considering social media generally. I actually think Middlesbrough are coming out of this worse than us, I’ll have a hard job convincing anybody outside the Saints family, but I believe it’s true. So much disproportionate inflammatory stuff, The world has become hysterical since around 2020. We aren’t accustomed to being hated, but then part of my thinks where has being nice got us? Special shout out to Hellburg and Gibson, pair of melts. 5
Miltonaggro Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Two brilliant competitive games of Championship football, an advert for the league, undermined by the petty, whining, and game-playing of Middlesbrough officials and coaching staff winding up their low iq fanbase and pet media. Fuck them all! 9

Fuck them all! Yes, the noise has massively detracted form our achievements over the second half of the season. 1
pimpin4rizeal Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago To be honest though it’s really not a good look on our part, can see why boro are angry . We are now moaning about boro moaning but gotta say whoever made the decision to do this has brought it on 1 1
Doctoroncall Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Comment on the Guardian match report which is a microcosm of football today: Football, for all its beauty, has a habit of behaving like a soap opera that’s been left unsupervised with a calculator. At the top end you’ve got clubs so deep in debt they make payday lenders look responsible, owners selling the stadium to themselves like they’re playing Monopoly on cheat mode, and sponsorship deals so inflated you half‑expect the logo to be “Definitely Not A Shell Company Ltd.” The transfer market isn’t much better: agents taking fees that could fund a small nation, clubs tapping up players with all the subtlety of a drunk uncle at a wedding, and “creative accounting” that would make an auditor weep into their spreadsheets. And then there’s the on‑pitch behaviour, where sportsmanship is more of a suggestion than a rule. Players collapsing like they’ve been hit by a tranquiliser dart, goalkeepers suddenly developing time‑wasting cramp at 89 minutes, and entire teams surrounding the referee as if they’re staging a very angry flash mob. Add in match‑fixing whispers, opaque ownership, and the occasional governing‑body scandal, and you’ve got a sport that somehow manages to be both the world’s favourite pastime and the world’s most chaotic group project. And…. in the context of all of that….a bloke with a phone causes a meltdown. The poll in the DT has 61% in favour of Saints being kicked out (3000 votes) and the article certainly reflects Gibson’s media campaign. 2

I find Boro's reaction totally over the top , if they were a professional set up they would have made a complaint but said it wouldn't affect their preparation for the 2 matches . Instead they whined and moaned throughout both matches and afterwards . Their manager is a sulking schoolboy in his statements . Grow up ! 1
die Mannyschaft Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Fuck Boro, we don't care. All these clubs will slip up soon and do the same thing. 1
Osvaldorama Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Agreeed, Boro can fuck off. Embarrassing over reaction. The media coverage is beyond a joke. In a world where football clubs commit financial fraud, time waste, dive, etc etc a guy hiding behind a tree on public land is the most minor possible thing imaginable. The way they’re carrying on you’d think Tonda had stabbed someone. So glad we stuffed them. 2
