lordswoodsaints Posted 19 August, 2008 Share Posted 19 August, 2008 by 24 hours, good or bad for saints? although it is very unlikely we will be making any signings, unless of course the davies money is released for transfers, will this give the club more oppurtunity for players to be shipped out? imo the only plus point is it gives shearer another day to get a new team together :-)
alpine_saint Posted 19 August, 2008 Share Posted 19 August, 2008 It's only 24 hours, but I would describe it as slightly bad news. Sooner we know exactly what we've got, sit down and get on with it, the better. What's the reason anyway ? Seems a bit odd. Which of the top 4 are they pandering to this time ? It's because the 31st August is a Sunday, so no-one can be bothered to go to work.

InvictaSaint Posted 19 August, 2008 Share Posted 19 August, 2008 It's because the 31st August is a Sunday, so no-one can be bothered to go to work. It's amazing isn't it? Every other bu.gger gets forced into working on a Sunday (whether at their place of work or at home), but apparently it's too much for some pen-pusher at the FA to get into work for one single Sunday just to make sure the fax machine doesn't run out of paper. Incredible. Who said the FA was still stuck in the 19th century.....

Sunday is the day that the management at the FA get to have one on one's with their secretaries allegedly so I read in an Iranian newspaper translated into Urdu and posted on a Chinese web site from Thailand
Block 5 Posted 19 August, 2008 Share Posted 19 August, 2008 Can't see us signing anyone even if they kept the window open all season.
