bridge too far Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 Because he knows the intricacies of the financial set-up there. Otherwise the administrators would have to start from scratch to unbundle the bundles.

I'm no buddy of his but I bet you anything he just did as he was told and was required to do i.e. report on financial matters. The decisions about what to do about those financial matters would be taken by 'others'. He probably had very little actual power. Mind you, if things were so bad, he could have considered resignation as a point of principle.

Will be interesting in the next few weeks if Lowe manages to be one step ahead of the competition and the administrators to buy SFC..... Its time for him to go too, imo.. That is what really bothers me, seems he was loyal to Lowe throughout the 2 years he was gone, no other reason for the man who got rid of everyone who said a word against him to keep the guy otherwise. Unlike some who fear the third coming of old beetroot cheeks I dont believe he would have the money...besides he never put anything into this club so why start now ? Johnny Shearer Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 I'm no buddy of his but I bet you anything he just did as he was told and was required to do i.e. report on financial matters. The decisions about what to do about those financial matters would be taken by 'others'. He probably had very little actual power. Mind you, if things were so bad, he could have considered resignation as a point of principle. Financial Directors do more than just report they make the hard line decisions. However as you mentioned at SFC he was most likely a puppet or gave up the ghost of trying as nobody ever listened. He needs to be replaced if and when we're out of this mess. Ricky Redstripe Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 Continuity Yep, he smoothly takes us from one financial disaster to another. Well done Mr Jones, what would this club have done without you?
