St Marco Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 Wotte getting sent off (or sent to stand i guess it's called for managers?) Personally i felt quite embarrased for him really. It was great entertainment to see but does it really help us? We had 3mins to go and a minute of that must of been taken up by him shoving their manager? Im all for a firey coach who shows a bit of passion. But if i look at the guys tactics of late is it just self frustration?

Mr Saints Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 He's probably just frustrated that he is out of his depth in his job. What a complete disaster this Dutch b()llocks has been.
ooh it's a corner Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 Can I be the first to say "Baldy give us a wave, baldy baldy give us a wave" or would that be juvenile?

bungle Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 If we had a manager that did nothing, everyone would complain. We get a manager who shows some passion and people complain. Shows how pathetic our fans are.
NickG Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 Wotte was moaning to linesman about decisions Ref came to speak with him Parkinson came into Wotte's technical area and started mouthing off other coaching staff got involved Wotte pushed Parkinson away from his area towards Charlton tech area both got sent to stands
ottery st mary Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 If the football is so dire...we need a manager who can handle himself in these touchline scraps otherwise opposing fans will think we are pathetic...Rocky Wotte to be trained up for future games. Not really something to get sent off for is it? Their manager should of stayed quiet and not approached Wotte like he did. Was handbags at dawn stuff. If he got like that after one of our penalties was turned down then fair enough. Me personally i would of prefered someone to just wait the few mins we had left as we looked the better side then before going off on one. On the walk out a few people said he did it in the last game too (which i didn't see) and that he might do it to save himself from taking some flak? I would trade his passion for some tactical knowhow anyday.

You are probably right, but (for example) when Poortvliet "just stood there" he "didn't have any passion" and "we need someone with passion". Btw, I am not claiming you said this, just a general point.

'I Don't Care'...shame about the tactics though...
Wade Garrett Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 Unprofessional, especially when we were chasing the game. His behaviour is as good as his tactics, shocking.
SaintRobbie Posted 5 April, 2009 Share Posted 5 April, 2009 VERY unprofessional. Wish he'd been sent off in the first 5 minutes though - may have meant we'd have: replaced Thompson at the end of the 1st half (completely out of his depth), induced some fire into a lacklustre team of kids and not had to witness Wotte's only other contribution I noticed which was to signal to the players to do the long ball! I think JP wouldve won that game - by passing Charlton off the pitch. I'm sure he know's he's off and is going through the motions. Shame we cant get this takeover deal sorted quickly to get a manager in who understands this league (and league 1 sadly) before the end of the season. Still, he'll be gone soon. We just need to respond to Fry's calls to fill the stadium in order to do our bit to encourage the buyers.
