well not exactly what we needed as it. Poor defendung you could jurs see when they won the corner it was a goal.

The only plus points were that we were okay in possession, wotton played better than i have seem him in a while, surman was okay, why mcgoldrick was taken off i'll never know and bwp at least tried. Smith was again below average and dived as well cheating ****.

Saeijs looked a but dodgy at times. James is defiantly improving as a player but look forward to seeing him im DM one day. Wotton was very vocal. Saga tried but didn't have the service.

A lot of improvment needed but not enough time. I'll still goto the games believing but looks like it might be all over.

Had we got one back after half time Wolves were there for the taking, yes they were very dangerous coming forward but they were also very casual.

Overall dissapoiting, a few of us tried to generate an atmosphere but in the middle of away fans needn#t have bothered.

PS. If you love naughty boy clap your hands. Proceed.

the steward on the naughty seat was pretty much the highlight for me. Terrible performance and trouble between the yoof and older fans throughout the game

I was sat a row behind the yoof and a row infront of the 'older' fans. ****ing hell the kids, about 10 of them, scum of the earth.

Saw a few arguments going on between older saints fans and younger idiots. I don't care what kind of situation the club is in, we really don't need ***ts like that anywhere near our club.

As for the football, Ryan Smith and world class? Ryan Smith - Blue Square Prem - YES!!!

Skacel is a waste of space, so is Surman atm, along with Schneiderlin. Saga can only do so much with long hoofed balls and is never going to look good while we play like that. May aswell start building for next season in league one!

I think your a little harsh on Smith mate. His first touch most of the time is perfect, hes quite quick, he can hit in a good ball but hes short of confidence as is everyone and he is being played on the wrong side of the pitch, fair enough a 'professional' footballer should be able to use both feet. But look at Surman hes been rated fairly high in the past by our own fans and other clubs but he only has one foot. (Well not one foot, but you know what I mean)

I don't want to start an argument but for me, a good touch should be natural for a player if he's playing championship football. He is really quick I think, but doesn't use it atal. He bottles any 50/50 tackles and loses the ball alot more than he crosses it. Fair enough he's playing on the wrong side but then he should be trying to cross with right and when it goes out of play just look at Wotte. He shouldn't be playing for us, to call him world class is a joke.

Smith is ****e!! Several times in recent games he has picked the ball up with plenty of space to run into once he confronts a player he will do a few step overs lose possession or cross the ball behind everyone, if wotte thinks smith is world class then i should get a game.

Bring back jp this longball crap we're now enduring is as bad as i can remember & that includes the dark days of brantfoot. Forget the 10 point deduction the fact is we deserve to go down.

Firstly, it's not an argument its a debate/discussion, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I was there today, he wasn't very good today. He is short of confidence, he looks to Wotte for support and encouragement, maybe even to get placed on his natural side. Surman bottles 50/50 challenges, doesn't go for any headers, I don't particularly rate Surman at all, but he gets in the side week in, week out. I think Surman has got worse and worse over the season. Smith made some good challenges at Watford mid week and caused the defence some problems but again he does lose the ball too often I do agree. But in League 1, lets be honest we all know we will watching L1 football next season, I think he will be a very useful player. Smith hasn't had half as many games as Surman has to settle down in the side and get settled in the team (fair enough we do not have a regular settled team). But I agree some of the time, especially today, Smith looks totally out of his depth and is a waste of space. But maybe with a few more games under his belt who knows?

I wasn't there today, so I salute those who were.

I watched the game on the tv in a boozer in southampton. And for those of us who watched the tele, the feeling was summarised by the footage of a young (i guess 10 year old) fan, with his head in his hands, with the look that we are doomed.

for him, and his dad, i am sorry

i am sorry we are down, but we'll come back

eventually

There was a long shot of Saints fans after the third goal went in and I really felt for them. They all looked shell shocked and ashamed. Just as I felt at that moment, but at least I wasn't on national tv .....

Were you watching whilst you were there ?? i have said time and time again that i don't rate him.

1 footed

does not beat the full back

very lightweight

But thought he was our best player, he used his pace, tried to use his right foot, beat the full back and got the ball into the box (although normally a very under manned box) he looks like he is improving TBH hope he does as we have not got much else on the wings.

the defending was poor, but the tactics from the start were astonishing........someone pls help us,,,,,,,,,

McClaggon (sp?) was excellent away at Norwich, then got injured.

Smith was shi7 in that game too, tho only for 45 minutes that time.

guys give him a break - he is a luxury player for us. Any one with pace is luxury and not really suited to the Championship. I remember people saying this about Fabrice when he played for us - and we were in the Prem!

He is 22 yrs and has hardley played any football while he has been with us so there is no time for him to build his touch etc up. I thought he was one of our best players yesterday, he was always looking for the ball. Yes alot of his crosses were high and passed the the players but if you think that you can do better under the pressures, please put your name forward for a trial.

Also I thought there were far more ineffective players on duty yesterday.

Go on mate, give it large from behind that computer screen.

That will teach them!

I saw what happened and all it looked like was they were trying to stand and get behind the team when all every one around them wanted to do was sit their peacefully and enjoy a nice flask of coffee.

Your at football FFS, if you cant handle a bit of singing, bad language and standing up your watching the wrong sport.

When your 3 nill down within 20 minutes, what else are you going to sing.

Sing your hearts out for the lads? Now.....that would be a waste of oxygen.

What is it with our managers? They all seem to have this theory that playing a left footed player on the right wing is the way to go .... well it isn't

They always have to cut inside or cross the ball with their weaker foot which was shown time after time yesterday. I feel a bit sorry for Smith in being forsce to play on the wrong wing, and considering he is a failed Millwall reserve he didn't do too badly compared to some of our other donkeys. Not to mention the pressure on him to produce his 'world class' skills on a live game

Completely agree. When we go away and most of our support is sitting gets under my skin a bit. I go to football to sing, support my team etc. We're normally reasonably good for singing and standing, but the away end at Wolves is an arse to make any type of atmosphere from.

I predicted 3-0 before the game so can't say I'm surprised or anything. Would have been nice if we'd held out for at least one minute mind you. Wolves didn't really get out of second gear, yet they still looked so comfortable it was embarrassing. Fair play to the Wolves fans as well, loudest fans at an away ground I think I've heard all season.

As for the whole 'yoof' thing vs 'oldies' thing. All I saw was the young lads standing up and the older fans had a go and told them to sit down, and the younger lads had a go back. To be fair I see some of the young lads in question at every away game, so like it or not, they obviously care. I'll probably get slaughtered for saying this but I'd rather have fans like that who at least contribute a little to the atmosphere, than people who sit down quietly for 90 minutes.

As for giving it large behind a computer screen, grow up its a forum for discussion and posting opinions, if we were all stood around in a pub I'd still be saying the same thing. They were occasionally getting behind the team as did every but they were singing we are the ****test team the world has ever seen, that is going to the players the world of good isn't it? I have been going to football for years, its not a case of I can't stand bad language or singing. But you have to respect others too, there may have been a reason they couldn't stand up all game (disabilities etc). Those kids did not know the meaning of the word respect. We are all fans of Southampton football club some people show there support differently to others. Football is not all about bad language and fighting etc. Its about loving the club and getting behind them in any and every way you can.
