LaptopSaint Posted 19 April, 2009 Share Posted 19 April, 2009 Along with Yeovil, Swindon, Brizzle Rovers, Brentford, Charlton, Southend and a couple of others, some good localish days out. If Dagenham and Redbridge sneak into the League Two play-offs even better. We're all going on a third division tour, a third division tour, a third division tour... saints_is_the_south Posted 19 April, 2009 Share Posted 19 April, 2009 I was looking at possible close away games for next season yesterday. If the promotions & relegations work out well we could have 13 games that we could consider pretty close. Charlton MK Dons (if they dont go up) Millwall (if they dont go up) Southend Bristol Rovers Leyton Orient Swindon (if they stay up) Yeovil (if they stay up) Brighton (if they stay up) Brentford (if/when they go up) Exeter (if they go up) Wycombe (if they go up) Gillingham (if they go up) Over half the league. The likes of Walsall, Colchester & Northampton aren't all that far away either.
BotleySaint Posted 19 April, 2009 Share Posted 19 April, 2009 Brighton? Just don't expect to actually see the match. The away stand is about 1/2 mile from the pitch. I went to see Carlisle vs Brighton a few years ago. We had to phone my mates dad in Carlisle to find out who had scored!

Saint Fan CaM Posted 19 April, 2009 Share Posted 19 April, 2009 I hope they stay up - I was born in Brighton (nearly 50 years ago - gulp). Moved to Soton when I was 4, so been a Saint for as long as I remember, but I look out for their fortunes each week. They've actually had some good results this season, but if you think the CCC has some weird results, L1 tends to throw up even weirder ones. Unless you're Leicester and have a cracking manager, then you just expect to win most games. )-:
Papa Shango Posted 19 April, 2009 Share Posted 19 April, 2009 I'd prefer Brighton and Northampton to stay up and Crewe and Carlisle to go down. One because it's a lot less further to travel, and two because I've already been to Crewe, but haven't been to Brighton or Northampton's grounds.
