Swansea looking to take advantage

It does baffle me that we can hold out for more money in the sitution we're in. Last month we needed 500k to get to the end of the season. Surely 300k for Dyer would keep us alive for few weeks longer.

if we don't pay his next wage cheque (I'm unclear now the official date we start paying him again) it will be a breach of contract and he is free to walk I'd of thought. At the moment our hand looks weak. Lets see if that changes tomorrow though.

Bite the bullet and make him come back.

If they agreed a fee make them match it.

As for the we need the money thing, if we really need to sell him to keep us affloat to give us more time to find a buyer i feel we may as well end it all now.

If i was Swansea i would make the offer, they don't know who is likely to come in and whether the goal posts move.

Mr Fry has moved the goalposts, didn't you know?!

Same article in the Echo says Ipswich have made a small bid for Bart but we're going to wait and see what happens with Davis before making a decision. Wotte says signing Davis to another contract is his number one priority over the summer and if he stays he will sell Bart to Ipswich.

It sounds like Swansea are trying it on with a rushed bid, and they must realise that a new well-funded owner coming in next week would ask them for a million.

Yes we are desperate for funding to get us to a takeover date but we aren't simple, not even by Resolven standards.

A friend of mine who writes for a welsh paper covering Swansea emailed me the following when I sent him the article link.

1. Swansea did want to do a deal in january but got messed around by saints board

2. When saints decided that offer was good enough, situation had changed dramatically. I.e. administration.

3. It has nothing to do with wotte what price Swans pay

In fact he thinks that Swansea will look elsewhere if it drags on much longer.

Martinez likes to have his squad for the new season in place well before most other teams, add that to the fact that we desperately need money and it makes sense for Swansea to come in with a low offer. I'd expect Saints to do the same if we were in their position. No doubt Dyer will end up joining them on a permanent basis eventually, but it's just a question of who gives in first, Swansea or Saints. If we can get a fee of around 500-750K then I think we've got a relatively good deal, even if we do get taken over in the coming days.

Not the same friend of yours who's still looking for his scanner in the roof then?

That wasn't obvious was it? Believe it or not W.C. some of us actually have more than one friend. And to answer your question no. Believe it or not, I don't care.
