This is true, there is definitely hurdles to overcome yet before we get to that point.

No idea about Leeds or Leicester as I haven't watched them enough to know. I'm just looking at our defenders and seeing people who consistently don't defend the box, continue to not defend the box. Nope, that's not what I said is it?
-
Yeah, why not? Not sure I'd fancy Leicester or Leeds and at least Ipswich are wide open just like us. Longer pitch, more space in behind, more experience in our team, think our best chance is to play that game again and hope we get better in both boxes than go toe to toe with one of the others tbh. They'd obviously fancy playing us too but I'm not sure how many play off finals end up being so chaotic like todays game.
-
I just think defending your box is a mentality thing. Ralph, Jones, Selles, Martin, the next guy, they can all drum it into them all week but it actually takes someone to take responsibility and do it on the pitch and I'm not sure we have enough that are willing to do it really. Doesn't matter what level they are at, doesn't matter who the opposition is, doesn't matter what "system" they are told to play they have proven they will switch off occasionally over the years. Yes, there's some new ones, yes they have other qualities and yes the new ones can be put down to Martin I suppose but it's a collective thing and I'm not sure it's there or really has been for years.
-
Would love to play them in the play off final btw.
-
Yeah. We're miles better on and off the pitch than we were before he came. So he's quite clearly done a good job. But hey, don't let simple points like that get in the way of a good pile on.
-
The personnel at the back for us has been conceding for fun for quite a few years now. Doesn't matter who the manager is. They consistently have shown themselves incapable of defending their box for years. It really isn't a manager thing.

To go up automatically? Can we nip this weird narrative in the bud please? We finished behind Leeds and Leicester last season, they are the two that on paper should be easily good enough to be promoted automatically. Aim and expectation is rightly to go up, we're competing to do that and will as a minimum have 3 games to do it at the end of the season. Absolutely no evidence or right that our squad is easily good enough to go up automatically.

Always feels like Adams best games come when he's got a point to prove so even though he clearly has his issues and I'd have been happy to sell him at any stage over the last few years, I'd 100% be starting him tomorrow.
-
You sound like you don't actually enjoy the football, stop engaging in it. We're in a shoot out for promotion, 9/12 games, this should be the bit you're excited about rather than laying the foundations to be able to say "I told you so" at every single opportunity you get.
-
Think anyone on day one of their football experience is probably taught that kicking the ball is good and kicking other people is bad tbf.
-
He's literally kicked the player and not the ball ffs
-
I'm not actually sure what point you're making here but for the record I've been pro selling Adams for quite a while now and got mocked on here for suggesting it last summer.
-
It's THB if anyone, Stephens is on the other side of the box ffs.
-
Fair points but like you say the reason for the more minutes is because Aribo was crap for a long time. Just because he’s improved lately doesn’t mean he’s a better player than someone who has been consistent all season.
-
It’s literally not true Aribo is more of a goal threat. Smallbone has more goals and more assists. He also creates more chances per game and has more shots per game than Aribo. So yeah truth and opinions are two different things but just to reiterate Smallbone is literally a bigger goal threat than Aribo when he’s on the pitch.
-
None of this is true though. That’s why Smallbone rightly starts.
-
Person who wrote that must be pretty wise.
-
There’s a few players in their squad we were after at one stage under him.
-
I just think that maybe the guy who misjudged a header and flicked the ball into the path of the striker might be a little more at fault than someone who didn't. So sorry for being so positive
-
Or perhaps not everyone has to be so dramatic and not everything he does is the worst thing any left back has ever done.
-
Hahaha please stop heading the ball away Ryan, it’s not your job.
-
Christ. He’s not in no man’s land and he’s not heading a non existent ball. He’s literally in the perfect position to either head the ball away or bring it under control himself, and Bednarek jumps for a ball he can’t reach and flicks it over him. Baffling that people are trying to rationalise the guy who perfectly judged the flight of the ball is at fault instead of the guy who mis judges the ball. But hey, here we are.
-
So we're just blaming Manning for something we don't know if he did or not rather than the guy mis timing a header and flicking the ball into the strikers path yeah? Cool. Look forward to the same logic being applied if Manning ever does that.
-
The second goal being the one he's about to intercept until Bednarek flicks it over him yeah? If you're going to hate on the guy, make it coherent.
