  1. Really? I wouldn't.
  2. Russell specifically said Ward-Prowse wasn't a target a few days ago so it seems we never actually made an offer.
  3. That's some decent profit.
  4. Not sure they'll do that if they want to continue allowing fans outside at half time. They can't check everyones tickets as they come back in for the second half.
  5. Didn't stop Ross Stewart.
  6. If this does go through, getting him registered in time for Brentford seems very unlikely now.
  7. I'd rather that than playing the season with McCarthy as first choice and Lumley as backup. Lumley will be number 2 if this deal doesn't happen anyway.
  8. Setford is an 18 year old with no senior appearances. They won't settle with him as no. 2. Perhaps we can offer them McCarthy.
  9. That's why FA Cup replays gave way and they've been given comfortable League Cup ties. They'll be asking to abolish the League Cup altogether soon while simultaneously lobbying for Premier League fixtures to be played in the USA and Saudi Arabia.
  10. Yeah, I wonder if the goalkeeper fiasco threw a spanner in the works for the Alberto deal, given they wanted an £18m obligation. Have there been any other striker links? Presumably, we'll looking for someone with that profile. I just hope we haven't left it too late.
  11. 2 weeks.
  12. My feeling is we still lack a genuine CF but Russells remarks about playing Armstrong in the middle was laying the groundwork for a winger coming and no striker.
  13. Dibling was the best player on the pitch last night for me. I think he's ready to start.
  14. What's the registration cut-off for Ramsdale to be available for Brentford?
  15. It could also mean Ramsdale was a complete flop, injured or that Russell Martin lost the plot. Bazunu won't be displacing Ramsdale any time soon based only on his ability. Personally, I don't see Bazunu realising his potential here. When was the last time we signed a young goalkeeper with promise and they developed enough to become our number 1? It didn't happen with Bialkowski, Gazzaniga or Gunn. Gazzaniga had some more middle steps where he played a backup role and got some minutes at Spurs (thanks to a Lloris injury) and Fulham but ultimately failed to be a true number 1 until he joined Girona at the age of 30. Bialkowski and Gunn didn't reach their early promise and became decent Championship goalkeepers. Bazunu needs multiple seasons on loan before he MIGHT be ready for Premier League football. He'll go the same way as the others.
  16. I can't help feeling we'll look back at Alcaraz as one that got away. Personally, I do think we'll see him back in Europe one day.
  17. If the priority is to stay up, both are necessities.
  18. No idea where that leaves us then as I can't see Ramsdale happening. I struggle to believe Arsenal would cover 50% of his salary for us. Ajax are also still interested in him.
  19. Hopefully that doesn't leave Steele. I've also seen rumours we've spoken to Joan García. I know nothing about him but it seems he's young and inexperienced, exactly what I don't want in goal.
  20. I was feeling optimistic about the Bijlow signing as he's a quality keeper so that's some very unwelcome news. The club obviously already knew about his bad injury record but I thought the 20 game clause would mitigate that. They must have found something really serious to pull the plug. I don't believe for a second we can afford Ramsdale (especially given Russell's recent comments about wage structure) so it's looking like a Johnstone or Steele. Big downgrade from Bijlow which is a shame. We need to nail these goalkeeper and striker signings if we're to stand any chance of survival.
  21. Memphis Depay.
  22. If ever there was a fanbase that needed to see relegation, it's Evertons. A few years in the Championship would be a good remedy for their entitlement.
  23. Hearing some rumours that Forest could be interested.
