Those comments on that article 😂 Even after Van Dijk, Armstrong, Forster, Wanyama... they still haven't learnt that any Premier League club will be a more attractive proposition than any SPFL club. None of the major clubs will take the gamble until they see the player competing in a prestigious league.

Is the Premier League too rich for us?
Disco Stu replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
Our rivals seem to be operating in a different stratosphere to us eclipsing our record transfer already this window. We'll have to be very shrewd if we're going to build a competitive squad this summer but realistically, it will be very hard when we're working with one hand tied behind our back. Everton have just pocketed £50m from Villa from the Onana deal as well. These deals are inflating the market well beyond our means. -
"I've got more important things to think about. I've got a yoghurt to finish by today, the expiry date is today. That can be my priority rather than Agustin Delgado." I loved having Strachan as our manager 😂

I notice our next two friendlies are behind closed doors. Will that also mean no streams?

Boom lift like that would set you back a few bob to be fair

No more sick notes please.

Watching how he's getting on (and scouting the opposition) https://www.brentfordfc.com/en/tv/videos/Live/0_ma8uvmu0 Brentford play at a noticeably higher tempo to us.
-
He's their Ghoddos replacement.
-
Yeah, a little concerning Stewart still isn't deemed fit enough for a pre-season friendly at Eastleigh.
-
So are we actually seeing Lallana play today or has he already set up camp in the treatment room?
-
Never have I seen an easier chance wasted. I gave up all hope with him after that. If he has any time to think, you can be sure he'll miss. His inability to take gilt-edged chances was a major reason we got relegated.

I remember Boruc chucking a water bottle into the Chapel end after getting some abuse too 😂

Staff keep leaving but nobody seems to be replacing them.

If we're looking for an Albanian, I hope Myrto Uzuni is on our radar. 11 La Liga goals for Granada last season, 23 goals in the Segunda Division the season before. Despite his good season, Granada were relegated so I think he'd be open to a move and at a good price. I see a lot of similarities with Danny Ings in the way he plays.

That away top is a thing of beauty.

I think it speaks volumes that he left his boyhood club for us. It must be a great environment to work in and he must believe in the project.

Looks proper tacky.

Cover for Stewart? We need a first choice option up front.

Personally, I don't see it as any worse than Carling sponsoring Rangers and Celtic or Carlsberg sponsoring Liverpool. It's not an ideal sponsor but if they're paying us the most money, we have to be pragmatic.

We were also 30 seconds from getting knocked out by Slovakia. We scrape through low ranking opponents and then lose to the first real quality we face. Just like the last time against France. And the time before that against Italy. And the time before that to Croatia who finished behind Iceland in their group. Southgate doesn't have the nous to get us over the line. Setting his teams up against its strengths is a big part of that.

I don't doubt his ability but he's played in 5 tournament finals for club and country. 0 goals. 0 Assists. Truly world class players turn up.
-
We just can't win when we face genuine quality. Lucky with the draw two Euros in a row now but couldn't make it count.
-
Great player in league games but he simply never turns up when it matters. Our worst player this tournament.
