1. I know, they really need a dark advert on that shirt.
2. Every time I've ever seen a defence work harder it's because they know they have to, not because they know they'll be ok if they make more mistakes.
3. With a bit of thought this is nothing like as bad as it looks anyway. Birmingham and Sunderland were and are yo-yo clubs, but Bruce left in November to go to Wigan (which was unexpected and probably contributed to their relegation later that season). Arguably sacking Bruce for coming 16th was one of Sunderland's stupider moves - plus Black left in December one match later, so again, they got relegated quite a while afterwards. Blackburn were an absolute basket case post-Walker with Venky's in charge and still haven't recovered, Rotherham were always up against it in the Championship and are barely better off now - plus again he left in September so relegation again was nothing to do with him, and Villa were already 3 years into being rubbish and all but relegated already when Garde and Black came in in January. So yeah, bad habit but not much in the way of causation. He got fired from being manager at Coventry when liked by the fans and relatively successful too.
4. I like the phrase "it shows the minnow resisting consumption, administering a slap to the face of its larger relation, and accelerating away into the distance."
5. Wait, there's an update. Wiki says there are now RED bags of Pickle n Onion (since 2008, I did say I wasn't paying attention), and the Cheesy ones have already bit the dust: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nik_Naks
6. There we go. I have noted the recent use of "Cream n Cheesy" more recently: All essential to taking our minds off Skate Fan Fiction, or whatever the hell has been going on on this page...
7. Rib n Saucy (purple pack) or Nice n Spicy (orange pack) have been staples for a good 15 years now. There was also a time when you could get some kind of scampi/lemon flavour, and they've also done cheesy ones, both in yellow packs at different times. This information may be a few years out of date, as I haven't been paying much attention recently.
8. We won't be having either so it's a bit moot.
9. Nah. A white box will be ok if done well. No excuse next year though when they'll have known the sponsor in advance and be able to include it in the design.
10. I quite like the way they've blatantly ripped off their old 2000ish away shirt. Also hardly a surprise given that the leak was photos of their club shop with posters up!
11. And a lot less bra-like I'd suspect. More shouldery I should think.
12. Quite. I don't think it's the kit, I know literally one thing about the design, and that doesn't tally with it.
13. To answer my own question, yes they did, there's a pickup truck with a US style white numberplate visible out of the window of the Under Armour building at the start of the clip.
14. I love the idea that the club would leak a teaser of a poorly coloured in Photoshop as a legit leak, when they're about to release an already announced set of videos of someone returning the kit from Baltimore that they told us about at least a month ago. And also that there's any possibility whatsoever of changing the kit IN JULY when they have tens of thousands of pieces of it already in Southampton.
15. Did they REALLY take a Saints kit crate out there just for that?
16. Last year's leak was clearly and obviously legit from the first second because it matched existing documents which were recognised. This one looks like someone's tried hard to make it look legit doing the same kind of thing, but has a few giveaways that it isn't.
17. Anyone know where that wooden walkway actually is? I'm guessing they filmed everything Southampton based yesterday in and around the boat stuff to go along with whatever footage they had in Baltimore, but where is that bit in Southampton? Ocean Village? Shamrock Quay?
18. You're a bra strip.
19. As has been noted over and over again, Forster had to face 2 shots on target in the first 4 matches he was back. If anything that's an argument that the defence was busting a gut to protect him.
20. There are a couple of areas of grey bleeding out of the template as well, and where the grey meets the black on the away shirt.
21. Yeah but it doesn't say much about your great new kit brand if they give you used designs out of the blocks, does it?
22. The "cut off" laces of the black/grey away shorts also smack of dodgy Photoshop to me.
23. Here's a close® up of the Spurs Away as in the PL handbook last year.
