Roger knows irony. One swear doesn't make the whole thing uneducated, it's a well thought-out and argued point.

As for "PES is better", FIFA might have stagnated since they got it spot on with FIFA14, but I played both demos and PES STILL plays like a load of robots with insta-changing jerky opposite direction moves. It just ignores momentum when it feels like it. FIFA is still comfortably the better game to play, irrespective of its annoying lack of existing player editing without unlocking. PES was better until the 360/PS3 generation, then EA finally got it right with FIFA11 after years of crappy button bashers and spamming rebounds but that year BOTH games were garbage, and since then with the modifications to the physics engine have been comfortably ahead. Konami has never even moved PES into the last generation, never mind the current one. It's the exact same game as PES5 with better graphics and jerky animation and collision detection. The "running on rails" problem seems to be about even on both games now.

Nope, because I'm playing with all passing aids off. I do find I pass to the opposition basically all of the time though.

And FWIW here's the 2016 adidas Seattle Sounders training kit - we MIGHT get something in this style for the spring training kit before the contract runs out - it's the exact same style as the 2016 Euro kits:

Another UA 2015/16 shirt - Sao Paulo's 3rd: and keeper shirt:

Not in this case. Anything where you can see an undershirt or the skin of a player's torso should be a foul immediately. If the ref is looking, which he wasn't. Compare that incident to the penalty given against Fonte at the Emirates in the game Boruc did his Cruyff turn, where his shirt was pulled first and then a penalty given against him for pulling someone back to try and get back into position.
-
He was looking at the ball - like you're not meant to as a ref because you miss the fouls. Wouldn't have seen it from the car park, I can confirm the second back row of the lower tier was far enough away to not know what had happened.
-
I'm fairly sure the other 139 fan owned community shareholder clubs may have had something to do with it.

I suspect my credentials as a Saints Season Ticket holder who tries to spend all his free time with his family might make nicking off 100 miles to do stuff in my home town on weekdays a bit difficult even if there was the remotest possibility of me doing anything for free.

I went to see Middlesbrough v Chester in the FA Cup 3rd Round in 1997 for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I'm going to Notts County v Plymouth on Sunday (my 4th ever Notts County match but first at Meadow Lane). Some people just like football.

Well, you can keep being wrong if you like? I would imagine people turn on you for having an opinion which isn't supported by any evidence.
-
The ref's first half performance genuinely had me thinking about conspiracy theories, because nobody can be that consistently wrong arbitrarily.
-
Who will both have lasted a year from the first significant interest in them when Wanyama leaves next summer... along with Mane.
-
He's made NINE saves in the Prem by the way (not cross-takes, clearances, passes fielded, ACTUAL SAVES). http://www.whoscored.com/Players/4065 Detail tab - change Category setting to SAVES, and the accumulation to TOTAL. De Gea has made 14 fwiw. But I don't have the figures about number of shots faced to give context, the defence/midfield was very good at stopping shots happening last season.
-
As an aside, anyone see Boruc's howler (again) against Watford - he gets a bit confident and just starts doing stupid things. Passed it straight to the striker on the edge of the box, then sold himself diving back and left a tap-in to an empty net.
-
Anyway, dropping a ball he's come for is not what judging someone for being commanding is about, it's about making the decision and coming to get it. You can't drop something you didn't try and get in the first place.
-
I don't even remember him dropping the ball against Chelsea, and at this point I refer you to Forster doing the same thing 3 times in one match up at Spurs last season. So Stek's still up anyway, and the drop at West Brom (which he recovered) was his first mistake of ANY sort in about 10 games for us. As for saves, he's made a load, you don't remember them because it's just business as usual for him, and his positioning is good enough (as well as having good height) that he doesn't have to be flashy or chuck himself at stuff. Very few keepers would have got to Willian's free kick in the top corner off the post with a bunch of onrushing attackers who might have deflected the ball even without the offside distraction.

Mourinho invented the concept of moving a player to the far side of the pitch when being substituted so it would waste time as the refs only add 45 seconds on no matter how long the stoppage actually is. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't point out that we could have at least learned that from him when bringing Yoshida on in injury time took less than 30 seconds to execute thus theoretically adding 15 more seconds to the match, but thankfully the ref didn't add a single second more than the already-indicated 5 minutes on for it anyway.
-
His ability to play the ball quickly and accurately into midfield and overlap are two of the reasons he shouldn't be in midfield, not to mention his defensive skill.
-
Oh of course, I wondered why all those people in QPR shirts kept hugging me.
-
He catches EVERYTHING in his area that he should be coming for.
-
So what? Refs let all sorts of stuff go all the time.
-
This is why we don't let you go shopping in a paisley shirt and full kit any more.
-
Good grief, it's been obvious Mane and Wanyama are leaving in the summer at the absolute latest for about 2 months already, just enjoy them whilst they're here.
-
Bertrand also played the ball forward for 2 of the 3 goals - which alone shows how much we missed him.
