Well, it won't. Especially the bit about red shirts.

Muppet Show would be more appropriate. -

Damn your balance Gemmel, this thread is for people who hate Lowe to talk a load of crap. -

Should have let her live there for free, IMHO. Maybe cooked her some meals, or taken the family out to a nice restaurant. Bought her a car, that kind of thing. So heartless. -
I'm just pleased that the forum has taken this tedious repetitive stadium thread in a new direction with a bit of Stoneham love rather than the usual endless Bigger Than Everton and Flexible Pricing entrenchments.
-
I would like a giant Saints balloon as well, to help people find the place. And a log flume.
-
Good luck walking from Airport Parkway to the Stoneham site on the existing complete lack of pavements, on a busy main road and across a motorway roundabout... not even sure there's the room to put pavement in under the motorway, in this hypothetical example. And I can see how easy it would be for 10,000 people to walk across two motorway slip roads on a Saturday afternoon...

But we could have had a big empty shopping centre crippled by the credit crunch as well... and loads more traffic problems.

Rupert knows the difference between "of" and "have".
-
Rhyming "now" with "now" is poor. Also, I like Cassius by Foals, but choose a song that the majority actually know...

That's fine, but in terms of calculating ticket priority, there's no real need to offer it in L1 at all, so it doesn't matter how frequently people go and it also doesn't matter how much of their income it is as it's a fixed amount to the club and that's irrelevant.

That's cos he ain't no player, and don't worry, I have no interest in his boring changes to FM video either, couldn't even get to the end of it, and I'm sure some of that stuff is in 13.3.3 anyway.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to play. Can't say I agree with his financial choices though. -

Chaplow's contract was up in the summer : http://talksport.com/sports-news/football/premier-league/130320/southampton-star-richard-chaplow-set-summer-exit-194040 I'm pretty sure if he hadn't got injured he'd have just been released with the others. Instead, my guess is we put him on a monthly contract until he was able to prove his fitness/join another club and then mutually cancelled it 11 days later http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23276859 just before he signed for Millwall. So basically, if anything, Chaplow hung on for 11 days more than he should have got, and he definitely didn't leave out of some kind of desire to play, his contract had basically expired. -
No mention of televised games in the calculation ? Or is that implied by kick off times ?

It will be interesting to see the balance between Wanyama and Schneiderlin depending on our need to retain possession. Wanayama's great at getting it back and knocking it to the defence, not so hot on passing it around and his longer passing tendencies might or might not fit with our more mobile strikeforce. Personally I think Cork's better at moving the ball around but Wanyama's shooting is much better. Schneiderlin obviously had great interception and tackling stats last season and his record last season speaks for itself, and also played ridiculously far forward in the first half on Saturday. There's a choice to be made if we don't have two holding midfielders.

Does this really happen ? It doesn't seem to be the case with Saints' academy - though I will say that being able to run for 90 minutes is an absolute minimum requirement for top-level football, as fitness and consistency are basically the difference between non-league players and top ones. Anyone can run fast, and players at a low level can have a great touch and ability on the ball, but you need ability AND top level application to succeed nowadays as a basic requirement.

In the sense that we spent most of the first half pinging barely successful long passes and looked pretty disjointed at best, and the second half passing the thing on the floor and attacking repeatedly, we looked a lot better whilst he was on the pitch.

Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke is much worse, it sounds far more like booing. -
Added Cisse and some derivatives. Good call. Have decided against adding Demba for purely arbitrary reasons.

He isn't, his entire point is about him not being comfortable with what he saw as modern football values. He doesn't like beans and bacon with breakfast, either, but then he probably likes chips with mayo, so swings and roundabouts. -

I didn't think he was "terrible" either, he scored a couple of goals in the Championship, but he was desperately unsuited to the style we decided to play and clearly wasn't going to get a chance in the Premier League when we moved even further away from traditional wing-play and running at players. -

Not sure many of them have brothers who'll randomly pitch up in pubs at his team's away matches either and be massively enthusiastic about everything though, which was always amusing...
