I think you were born about 40 years too late. Apart from anything, I use it to find out what's happening in the 50-odd matches I'm not at but am vaguely interested in.

I haven't seen one yet.

I have no idea why Saints would even want to publicise #saintsfc. Now @officialsaints or @SouthamptonFC, that I can understand, that might actually drive some business. #saintsfc is hardly going to deliver the "official" story they'd want to maintain. A bit half baked, and utterly pointless. On the bright side, some people will get new seats, I noticed the ones in the Northam looking a bit weather-beaten at the U21s match t'other day. I should be more annoyed about it, but it just smacks of desperate bandwagon jumping and shows the club genuinely has no clue what people want from them in terms of communication. "The move is our latest social media initiative and is designed to increase engagement both with and between our supporters" my ar5e.

Proper engine. Eyebrows at the front stick. Good feet for a big man.

In fact, there's a thread here which helps people who aren't just along for the trolling find out more about where Osvaldo has played previously : http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?46338-Osvaldo-for-Italy-Roma-and-Pochettino-s-Espanyol-Tactics#.UhZ5rNL_mSo

Can I suggest you do a bit more research then ? Because he is.

One more moan - I set the entire of the Welsh Leagues below tier 2 as "Amateur" and the game STILL insists on making clubs semi-pro as low as Tier 11, and all your players STILL sod off elsewhere as soon as possible. I know some of them (i.e. me) are too good to play at that level but not the entire squad, it's bloody ridiculous. Are there any known workarounds or settings that will keep amateur players at clubs ? I've already set them all to 19 loyalty, makes no difference.

Ooh, sounds like some of my requests will be met be the RTE then. Just for the record, will the RTE allow people to change team names for an ongoing game ? Is there a "club killer" option ? Can someone put together a decent mass player creation and editing facility - literally just allow extracting to xls/csv, editing and reimport to the same IDs...? Also for the record, just finally managed to get "my" Wales file working (haven't checked the Aberystwyth Div 2 yet though, that team sucking vortex) - though as it's based on the already existing file and I've "only" made 90,000 changes to that I can't share it with people according to the best practice rules on the SI Forum...

But the point is that the "less organised fan" instead has to pay the premium of the match by match price (and probably if they're THAT disorganised the £2 on the day fee too, which incidentally wasn't mentioned even once in a single piece of ticket price documentation over the summer yet is still in place). They clearly prefer the gamble of us being successful and attracting people on a match by match basis, and will until we stop progressing.

They've already got one with "Arsene Wenger" right at the start. (00:00 - 00:04)

Oh now if we're starting on football administrators, how about Meon Valley Football League making my team, which had about 6 matches remaining and 3 months to play them in, play double-headers from February onwards due to our opponents being so far behind with THEIR fixtures ? We actually folded due to the total lack of enjoyment of playing two games back to back on successive weeks for absolutely no good reason, people just didn't think it was fair and refused to turn up for it. If the opponents get so far behind and haven't tried to rearrange matches, why should WE suffer ? If THEY have to play back to back games, they should play them against other sides lagging with their fixtures first, and if necessary, two different teams on the same day as a back to back double header, not the same team twice. And to be honest, Hampshire having so many cup competitions in the first place is quite an annoyance.

As it happens, I also spotted this : Vehicles prohibited from using roads and pavements 157 Certain motorised vehicles do not meet the construction and technical requirements for road vehicles and are generally not intended, not suitable and not legal for road, pavement, footpath, cycle path or bridleway use. These include most types of miniature motorcycles, also called mini motos, and motorised scooters, also called go peds, which are powered by electric or internal combustion engines. These types of vehicle MUST NOT be used on roads, pavements, footpaths or bridleways. Does that cover shopmobility or are they battery powered and exempt?

Not so... the Highway Code recommends giving right of way to traffic going uphill on single track roads https://www.gov.uk/general-rules-all-drivers-riders-103-to-158/general-advice-144-to-158 Number 155.

Most of Smirking's list, especially the ferking eejits on Hedge End roundabout who block the road to the Village and the ones who take the inside lane to exit it for Thornhill.

Ok, so basically EVERYTHING annoys me, but I'm pretty sure that (the phrase "does it notice?" aside - that can't be correct grammar), the most annoying thing currently in my life are women on Facebook telling each other that their wrinkled, under a month old, walnut-like, pink mass of child, which almost always has precisely NO distinguishing features, is somehow "gorgeous". It is not gorgeous, it is a generic blob of newly-formed humanity, which as yes has absolutely no characteristics whatsoever. It's not even cute until at least 3-4 weeks, it's just a poo and puke machine. The idiotic (deliberate or otherwise) misspelling of the word "gorgeous" in these situations is of course an additional irritant. As for the rest of it - I pretty much agree with everything other than holepuncture's list, and all the cycling ones apart from the person who thinks people should be made to wear helmets - surely it's their choice if they want to risk spilling their brains ? A* qualifications annoy me, seeing as they didn't exist when I did my exams - also the deluded belief that kids are getting smarter when it's completely bloody obvious that the government just sets quotas for each grade before the exams even exist, which is also why the grades improve every year despite the majority of evidence online indicating that Brits overall are getting less literate and tangibly stupider.

Of course he'd welcome his arrival, he doesn't know if he's being dropped for him yet and it might make his job easier.
-
My opinion is that he should have been more involved early last season but the decision had been made, but I look at our squad and think "who wouldn't we buy now?" and he's pretty high on that list. I'd be surprised if he signed for Adkins as he was the manager that sidelined his Prem ambitions last season, and would no doubt do it again if Reading went back up. It would be a very short term move, though I suppose that could potentially be another 3 years' contract at high Championship wages, rather than, say, his Doncaster deal.
-
I think this must be my defence mechanism, but after being accused of being OTT when I said it, I'm quoting everyone else who thinks he's a nutter now. I'm up to 3 this week.
-
I thought that last year (hence the Sharp/Rodriguez comments)... but either he's a phenomenon, we have superb sports science indicators and rest him at the right times, or we got really, really lucky that he wasn't injured.
-
Isn't the issue more "when the merry-go-round stops and one of the big clubs decides they need a last minute BUY of a Saints gem" ? Good job Schneiderlin would be perceived as another work in progress by some Gooners, takes him out of the equation.
-
I don't get your examples here - Delap was a starter for over 5 years and as if we could forget, club record purchase for about ten years, Telfer was a starter for his entire time with the club. Kenton (and the likes of Mikael Nilsson and Federico Arias) I'll give you.

Has there been a better team to support over the last 5 years?

That'll be Oldham, founder members of the Premier League, too... -
So, has this game got any way of actually killing off sides who are in massive financial trouble - or is there a way of setting extinction up in the editor ? Here's a crazy one, let people rename teams after a fixed number of seasons to reflect changes in real life if you happen to be playing the game more than 8 months after launch ! I can set up Llanelli to owe £500m with interest of similar, but they never, EVER cease to exist in the game like they have IRL. Does it have a realistic lower league Amateur team way of playing where players are mostly loyal to teams - even though they're not paid, or do they all fck off to better teams the second the season starts, which is of course completely unrealistic ? Do you still have to relocate teams with capacities of a couple of hundred in order to expand the stadium by about 20 seats ? Why is there no cut and paste kits option between home/away/GK shirts (or other teams?) in the editor ? Or anything at all resembling a massive player creator feature that would allow you to just name players and set CA/PA and position so you could add a load of your mates to the game en masse ? I haven't even played the game for more than a few hours and these things bug the sh1t out of me, god knows what it's like for someone who isn't just creating leagues and simming/testing... What I do love is the opensource style interface and the customisability. But Jesus Christ get them to launch a quick and easy mass editor...
