  1. Not sure, but that might explain why it fell through...
  2. What's your point ? The button was under the fold at the front of the collar. I know what it looks like, there are three of them in my house !
  3. True, it was a not-quite circular, not-quite hexagonal thing wasn't it ? Basically a normal button with a random straight edge.
  4. One thing I probably should have thought to post earlier on here is an image of the Lotus F1 cars, which "coincidentally" have a very similar colourscheme to that Saints are rumoured to be adopting next season... I'm now fairly convinced that "white" people have seen on the away kit is in fact gold as it was originally reported (unless they've had time to change it)... and no wonder the shart's hit the fan about the rumoured F1 team (Lotus) sponsorship going T-Up if the whole kit branding is based around this :
  5. That pic looks about 6 or 7 years old.
  6. How come you're still using the template with the downward arrows underarm when the leak shows that part is red ? Your other very similar template looked closer to me ?
  7. With you all the way. The other thing about the sash was it was very similar to the England kit and went on sale before the 2010 World Cup, I know a lot of people who bought it as a kind of temporary England summer shirt too, plus no advert. The second year of all red removes most of the doubt that it's permanent, the only saving grace now is that they might have sacrificed a decent design because they think the adidas name will sell it, but that's clutching at straws.
  8. To be fair I have also done this on numerous occasions, sponsor or not.
  9. Turns out I did have time. What a tedious twut.
  10. Farking tremendous.
  11. Aww feck, just noticed he's got 83 posts, can't be arsed to read through all of them. I'm back to page 90 of 110 already.
  12. I laughed, the page you link is page 108, on which he replies directly about Wanyama and then gets warned about the posting off topic. It wasn't until I started clicking back a page or two that I realised he's spouting FM Stat-type irrelevances over 10 pages before...
  13. But only them, right ? Definitely not the likes of Hammond, or Holmes, or Dickson, Barnard, Forte, Waigo, N'Guessan, Harding, Richardson, Jaidi, Davis, Chaplow or Butterfield (the last 5 of whom already had done a job in the Prem and haven't had the chance this time...). You specifically ONLY thought the ones who've turned out to be Prem players "could do a job in the Prem". Amazing.
  14. If I had a spare 6 months I could probably do a head count on those end of season "thank you >" pics - but I've just remembered it was pretty cold and most people had coats on. All of my group that usually have one had one, the people who don't, didn't. But there are far fewer in my group than there were in 2004 and all of them had shirts then too... Lots of people I know that just don't buy Saints shirts bought the sash, which sold out from October to December and just wasn't available due to the demand - but at the same time, we were getting 20,000 not 30,000 - but that doesn't mean people who weren't going to watch games weren't still buying nice one-off commemorative Saints shirts they liked...
  15. So was the away black with a white V and gold trim, or black with a gold V and trim ? And is the V filled in (like Fulham kit) or just a V (Spain kit) ?
  16. I would like to nominate this for Post of The Day I Couldn't Be Bothered To Research For Myself. Mighty work. Though the first two links are for the -10 season rather than the Pardew Sacked season we were talking about... Also amused at hypo's comment in the last link about Alpine's reaction to us going a goal down then scoring 3 rapid ones, happened almost word for word against MK Dons 6 months later.
  17. Which particular effort is this ?
  18. That's right though isn't it ? Although as we started on -10 there are a few weeks of 2009/10 post-takeover worthy of note too : anyone who was at Swindon for the "make a sub" game must be in contention, though it's a bit of a lilly-livered local midweek away game and we had already made a couple of signings, but Olly Lancashire conceded a corner from near the halfway line and I saw someone racially abuse one of our players with his parents in the row behind me, which must be worth at least 20 loyalty points. Ah, now I see why someone said this will turn into a "better fan" thread...
  19. Hey, you're the one talking cobblers and expecting not to get called on it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Record_home_attendances_of_English_football_clubs Arsenal moved to Wembley for the Champions League and broke theirs in 1998... Stevenage switched to Birmingham's home ground for an FA Cup match and broke their home attendance record. Other than that, Burton Albion aside, everyone else has "old" or "current but not modern" ground records or the kinds of quirks above, like Man U's attendance record being at Maine Road. Of course for almost all of those clubs they weren't their first ground, so at some point it was a "new ground", just not post-Taylor, which is pretty much the benchmark for this stuff.
  21. Do me a favour. He did namecheck her in Saints Magazine for that reason though.
  22. Yeah, updated since I found out he wasn't even Wimbledon's player.
  23. Again, being offered more than zero does not necessarily mean Portsmouth are offering high wages. By all means beat them with a stick if they start doing so, but so far we only appear to have evidence of them giving a contract to two players who were at a club which chose not to renew their contract and release them. You just said he was out of contract, there's no evidence AFC Wimbledon made him any kind of offer. Contractually if they're under 23s it would make sense for the original clubs to match their current wages because then they'd get compensation for their training etc, but if they're not U23s then there's no need for the original clubs to even make them an offer, so their options could well be "no job or join Portsmouth". EDIT : John Sullivan is 25, AFC Wimbledon didn't need to make him any kind of offer because he was on loan there, he was a Charlton player who joined them as a 23 year old. So, if you're saying AFC Wimbledon ALSO made him an offer but Portsmouth offered more, fair enough, that would say they're able to outbid other teams - but even so, that doesn't mean they can do that for every player in every position, does it ? We're talking about Charlton's 3rd choice keeper at best here, not Sulley Muntari and Lassana Diarra. But what you actually implied by saying "same" was that AFC Wimbledon had an option and chose not to take it, which is what happened with the Swindon player.
  24. Most is not all.
  25. I'm confused though, because earlier today Batman himself was telling me everyone was convinced we were definitely going up, even after the terrible start, Pardew's sacking and defeat after defeat before Adkins joined.
