  1. Patrick Gold.
  2. Every time.
  3. They might well, but it's likely to be as a result of losing to lots of top half teams. Both they and Reading have just put runs together... now let's look at the detail. Reading : Championship Doncaster 1-1 Reading (currently 22nd) Championship Reading 3-1 Leicester (11th) Championship Reading 1-0 Portsmouth (24th) Championship Millwall 1-2 Reading (19th) Championship Middlesbrough 0-2 Reading (4th) Championship Reading 1-0 Burnley (14th) Championship Derby 0-1 Reading (13th) Championship Reading 2-0 Coventry (23rd) Championship Reading 1-0 Bristol City (21st) Average position of teams played during their 8W 1D streak ? 16.7th, call it 17th. Brighton : Championship Brighton 2-0 Portsmouth (24th) Championship Brighton 2-2 Cardiff (7th) Championship Doncaster 1-1 Brighton (22nd) Championship Brighton 3-0 Ipswich (16th) Championship Hull 0-0 Brighton (6th) Championship Brighton 2-2 Millwall (19th) Championship Leeds United 1-2 Brighton (10th) Championship Brighton 1-0 Leicester (11th) Championship Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton (12th) Average position of teams played during their last 9 games for comparison with Reading : 4W 5D (14.1, so near as dammit 14th.) Neither of those records is particularly impressive given the standard of opposition. Of all the teams in the top 8, it's Hull who look like they have the easiest run in, though I can't be bothered to work out the stats - and if HULL get anywhere near us we'll have plenty of others to worry about.
  4. Brighton's fixtures are on a par with Reading's.
  5. Incidentally, have we sold out yet ? We usually struggle to, due to the number of people who can't be bothered with the potential aggravation.
  6. West Quay is open, maybe there will be a German market. What else is there ?
  7. If we cut off a big section of the red area and paint "CHEATS ---->" on it, I'd happily hold it up in the Northam during the derby.
  8. What a massive shock that Portsmouth don't think the rules (this time of bubble trips) apply to them...
  9. I can't imagine any of them will be bothered, frankly. None of them bothered coming out of the pub to wave at the coaches on the way to Fratton, why the hell would they come down to Southampton to cause trouble when they could do it any day of the week ?
  10. It was one (actually the last) of a string of poor all-round performances by Lambert at that point, and he basically scored or assisted in all of them. Not sure that one was down to Pearce, but as far as signing cover and weakening a team we have to play, fine by me. Better he's not playing for anyone on April 7 than playing for them, anyway.
  11. And so we should be.
  12. There's already a lounge at the stadium and an annual Trophy named for Markus, they can't be that bothered about reminders being around.
  13. Yes, I do, which is why I answered the question in the post immediately above.
  14. Nope, but there are streams of Leicester v Birmingham.
  15. I am also not averse to a bit of the more conventional football fan behaviour though... That was Worldnet 2008. And some football tourism is better than others.
  16. Arf.
  17. Yeah, that was it. Like others have said, wait til we're in the Prem and there are a bunch of "home" fans supporting the opposition's players and then have a think about it.
  18. Not so much of the replica shirt in this one :
  19. One last thing - I seem to recall Griffo also saying that when we don't sell out games it's "embarrassing". I think I'd rather a stand full of comedy Chung fans with placards than this : and what's wrong with holding up cards anyway ?
  20. Yeah, supporting is "embarrassing".
  21. He played fine, have some more photos
  22. Football tourism is the best form of tourism, watching the way fans support their teams in different continents is entertainment in its own right. I could bang on about it for ages, but here are a load of my photos, and this lot should pretty much answer why they Japanese guys have chosen to come to a match surrounded by fans of a different background and culture.
  23. We live in a global economy and football's a world language. There are also benefits to Saints of exploiting overseas markets (can't wait for the cheap #19 plastic clocks and bobblehead dolls to appear in the shop)... Open your mind. FWIW X-factor and Big Brother are also global phenomena, and I bet other countries have different ways of supporting their favourites for that form of entertainment, too.
  24. They're here to make insular hoolie wannabes reconsider that the way they follow their club is the only way.
  25. I took it straight off the OS, so "share" away as far as I'm concerned! You can use the other one on your Overseas Fans thread, that we *did* take, from out of the window of corporate of Tadge and his fans posing outside the stadium too if you like.
