Yeah, that one for me too, diving back towards his own goal-line, miraculously clawed it wide, they then square it back in and scored anyway. Was the 3-3 draw.
-
Maybe we were trying to make Arsenal forget about him...

I have no idea why anyone would pay for a streaming site. They're as likely to go offline as any other site, there's no guarantee of anything for your money and there's always online streams of decent quality and nothing you can get for your money you can't get for free. I haven't forked out for a stream since about 2004 when freelivefootball disappeared. -
Guly was pretty good in terms of workrate - we didn't have much ball in attack but he chased everything down and didn't allow Leeds the chance to launch measured balls into the box, which was exactly what was needed at that point. I'm not going to bother having a pop at Cork, he crossed the ball for Lee's knock down for the goal, after all. Cork has some games when he just doesn't show, but I'm not sure this was one of them, and he's always going to struggle with anything over 5 yards on the deck because his kicking technique is, well, weird. He's probably better in tight areas under pressure than in space with time, too much thinking time and not enough instinct maybe.

I can't agree with the synopsis that we only had one chance on Saturday either, Lambert had a shot blocked late on, and we broke 2 on 1 and 2 on 2 twice in the last 10 minutes without even making the keeper make a save, somehow.
-
To be fair Reading are playing what's left of Pompey midweek, so they only really need to beat Leicester at home on Saturday (which we didn't). I wonder if Matt Mills will get a recall...
-
Funnily enough I did BBC Predictor a fortnight ago and we were 3rd with a game to go (though still within 3 points). Birmingham were ahead of us, and I checked the results I'd given them. It was W12 D1 L1. Since then they've D1 and L1.

The players in bold are already not starters right now, so we've replaced half of the team - which is not, as you're claiming, "very few changes".
-
We already had this discussion about adding players a few weeks ago and I looked up Saints, Swansea and Norwich's teams from w/c 22 Feb in 2011 and 2012. We've signed lots of new players since we drew with Walsall last year. 4 starters in Hooiveld, Fox, Cork, and one of Lee or Sharp, plus the other of Lee or Sharp and De Ridder in reserve. Norwich have added 5 players to their starting line up in the past year. I will expect us to add at LEAST 4 players in the summer who are intended to start.

Correct as far as I'm aware. Leicester at St Mary's I think. No Lallana or Lambert in that one and subbed after 56 minutes.

How is 4-3-1-2 a "diamond" ? By definition the "3" is a straight line without a point, which would make it a triangle. -X-X- --X-- X X X XXXX --X--

Nope, Harding is defensively better than Fox, who's better suited to left mid due to his defensive deficiencies, but is never going to get a game there. He stands up more, doesn't commit to ground and is a better tackler on his feet. Harding's problems positionally are purely due to him having to overlap when he plays behind Lallana because his delivery isn't as good as Fox's and their styles are very different. He gets caught upfield because he's been told to overlap, just like Richardson, who never gets slated for not getting back when he's caught upfield. Fox doesn't EVER dribble the ball forward and rarely overlaps, but still manages to leave huge spaces in behind him sometimes. Simply put Fox is better with the ball, Harding without. I'm certainly not worried about Harding playing at left back if Fox is out, we won 5 of the first 6 games of the season with Harding playing there and he scored in the only one we lost.
-
Fox is positionally dubious even when he IS near the ball, and also got caught out loads early in the season. He now hits 40 yard passes instead of crossing the half way line so he doesn't get caught out as often. Harding is much more positionally aware but his overlapping runs mean he's much more likely to get caught down the pitch.
-
This from you, who regarded Harding's probable goal-saving clearance at Fratton as an error, based on the hindsight of us conceding from the subsequent corner.
-
Try that theory if we win against Reading and lose the other 11.
-
TBH we should be at the point where anyone outside the top 5 is out of it, or the capitulation required to finish below them would put us out of it irrespective. West Ham, Reading, Brum, Blackpool are probably the threats and in that order.
-
Guhhhhhhhhhh. Worse, I got rid of McCartney from my FF team a couple of weeks ago.
-
Cardiff are crap going forward, have nothing but Miller's free-kick winning and Whittingham's dead ball delivery. Gestede is a complete donkey who doesn't win anything and I don't know why they started with him. Pearce and Bright are doing my swede in though, Pearce offers too much editorial opinion and mateyness.
-
Cardiff have just spent the last 5 minutes trying to concede a goal after a terrible backpass...
-
Snodgrass is basically the leading assister in the division, what are you on about ? EDIT : Sorry, actually he's third in assists, behind Whittingham and Burke, who he's also scored 3 and 4 more goals than.
-
I'm not really that worried about an injury to our left back. Harding is a better defender and when Lallana's on they link much better.
-
Or "ungrateful".
-
You're talking nonsense. There's no "emergency" involved. The loan window is still open.
-
That's good then.
-
Interesting to see who our rivals are bringing in...

On the "loan" front, unless Saints can find an out-of-favour Prem player who is probably under 28 and is an improvement on what we've got, I can't see us signing anyone.
