Let's face it, if Adkins had said "yes, we're doing a guard of honour because Brighton have been superb and deserve it" then a bunch of their mongtards would have made out that he was being sarcastic and tried to build it into a big deal anyway. Also Simster, your "meh" at whether we think there should be a guard of honour and the "your... manager has made sure we're bang up for it now" suggest at best a bipolar reaction ? Make your mind up, either you're bothered or you're not. You can't be motivated by something that doesn't create an emotional reaction.

Had it not been for the original poster's (unverified) comments about the kit style for home and away shirts I'd have been a lot more impressed with some of the designs on here. As it is, I doubt we'll have anything like most of the ones I like, so I'm not holding my breath on another sash, even though one in yellow/blue or even as above would be really nice.
-
How does this tally with meeting up with people from the Board ?
-
There have been a few, notably Arsenal and Man U - but usually when neither of the teams is still playing for something. I honestly couldn't give a toss either way, judging from Late Kick Off on Monday one of Brighton's centre backs isn't taking the rest of the season too seriously, but he thinks they should have eleven players in the team of the season, so who knows how they'd react on the day ? Generally though I don't think people get wound up about people not going out of their way to be congratulatory.

I'm not sure using a lump of randomly shaped bronze on the kit would assist performance.

Start your own thread.

I'd have done the same with "Maradonna" and "Gullet", but more due to the weird disjuncture between recognising them as some of the greatest and most familiar players of all time, yet still not being able to spell their names. As you've hinted, Gallas doesn't even make the "best two French centre-backs of the past 12 years" list IMHO.
-
You only get one go back though, so what if we'd lost 6-1 again, as we had when we played Arsenal two weeks before? Actually, quite a few of these fall down due to requiring multiple visits... we can't use that much plutonium ! Also, would nuking Anfield really have stopped the riot at Heysel, which was at least partially driven by elements from the NF and Combat18 ?

On the bright side, streaming is a lot more widely available and there's guaranteed to be at least ONE camera at every league game, which wasn't always the case.

Though their buckets outside on Saturday option appears to have worked despite my reservations about not actually handing it in over the counter.
-
To be fair, those buckets were pretty small and it was probably difficult to get more than about 50 applications in each bucket with the slot they'd built into it blocking up pretty easily. We got 5 for people averaging about 4 matches.
-
That could start another "curse", you know ?
-
Not to mention seriously tedious. I wouldn't say "ease of use" is high on its list of selling points either, once you get beyond the "post message" stuff, RTs, replying to people, hash tagging and searching for people generally are definitely not as intuitive as they should be for a new user, though that to some extent depends on their choice of browser/app.

What's half eagle half lion then ?

The discussion was about whether tickets would be sold on the day, as "all ticket" doesn't necessarily mean they can't. Thanks for the link, but brilliantly that message still doesn't actually state that they won't be selling tickets on the day - it says what the weekday ticket office opening hours are, it says that people should collect tickets before the day of the game because there will be no facility to collect tickets on the day, and it states who is able to buy tickets generally for this match, but it doesn't ACTUALLY say they won't be selling them on the day. It's quite possible that the reason they don't have the facility to provide pre-purchased tickets for collection on match day is because they're devoting all their ticket office resource to actually selling them instead. That does seem unlikely, but why not categorically state they cannot be bought on the day, if that's the case ? The closest they come is the phrase "Tickets can be bought in person from The Ticket Office which is located within The Bees Superstore between 10am to 4pm each weekday", which still doesn't exclude the possibility that they can also be bought outside those times.

In the 19th century, no less.

LOL, if you think this is a big deal to us you haven't been paying much attention, we've had about half the team injured for the last month.
-
I'd have been more selective about who off Saints Forever I slept with. Hang on, how did this get on the Brighton build-up thread ?
-
I've just been, in my time machine. The wife wasn't impressed, so I turned her into a coffee percolator. I don't even like coffee. Needs more planning.
-
We're lucky to get Monday delivery even on non-Bank Holiday weeks... never mind Saturday.
-
David Connolly made exactly the same mistake this past Saturday in the 89th minute, (luckily the cross was blocked and Bristol Rovers didn't break and score), yet there were people on here going on about his brilliant footballing brain and other such garbage the day after...
-
Saints related onl... oh it's Deppo.

Great stuff, cheers. I might try and mix the two templates... MIGHT.
