  1. That's sort of what I'm getting at. Someone like Forster we would do well to move him on a free transfer, we probably won't be able to even do that, so I was wondering what sort of price tags people would put on the players I listed taking into account the fact that in some cases we will practically have to give them away just to get them off the wage bill.
  2. Because he is ok but nothing special, we might want to upgrade to someone like Augustin, we could keep him as backup but is one of our assets that we could most easily sell for decent money, we might want to make room for Obafemi, his injury record isn't very good, there is nothing stopping us from selling him this summer like wolves did with Afobe last summer.
  3. Thinking about who we should get rid of, how much could we get for this lot? Bearing in mind that we might not be able to get rid of some of them (Forster, Hoedt). Stephens Long Ings Austin Elyounoussi Gallagher Armstrong Forster Cédric Hoedt Reed Hesketh Clasie Carrillo
  4. I can see Boufal coming back. Ralph had a very similar player to him last season in Bruma, was the 11th most used player for Leipzig under Ralph and has barely played this year (like Augustin).
  5. Good article on championship CBs https://medium.com/ram-blings/profiling-ball-playing-centre-backs-in-the-championship-113d4d085420
  6. What the hell happened here? Don't think I have ever seen anything like this! Got to see if I can find the entire game to watch. https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1317965/Live/Italy-Serie-A-2018-2019-Atalanta-Empoli https://understat.com/match/9887
  7. This. If there is anyone who deserves credit for keeping us up last season it's McCarthy.
  8. Had a good game today. 13 successful dribbles out of 14 too!
  9. Walk on walk on without hope in your heart And you'll never win the league You'll never win the league
  10. Nothing stopping us from selling him though. Wolves had an obligation to buy Afobe from Bournemouth last Summer and sold him to Stoke a few days later. Shouldn't be too hard to find a buyer either, think quite a few bottom half teams would like to have him.
  11. I doubt a player who has only played 382 minutes of league football this season would cost that much, £30m at most, probably less. If Rangnick rated him as much as Ralph did he would play him more.
  12. Wish list would go something like this: IN: Mario Hermoso Youcef Atal Jarrod Bowen Jean-Kevin Augustin OUT: Long Ings Austin Elyounoussi Gallagher Forster Cédric Hoedt Davis Reed Hesketh Boufal Clasie Carrillo How the hell do we have so many players?!! Even with all those players out we would have something like starting line up of Gunn, Bednarek, Hermoso, Vestergaard, Atal, Bertrand, Romeu, Hojbjerg, Ward-Prowse, Bowen & Augustin and a bench of McCarthy, Yoshida, Valery, Lemina, Armstrong, Sims & Redmond. Stephens, Targett, Slattery and Obafemi would also be in the squad. Ridiculous amount of deadwood.
  13. The next round of votes should take into account the most voted for options last Wednesday and be set up in a way that doesn't allow MPs to vote for nothing: Vote 1: May's deal vs Permanent Customs Union Vote 2: Winner of Vote 1 vs 2nd Referendum (which would be Winner of Vote 1 vs Remain)
  14. Rejected every single option They are beyond useless.
  15. I can't believe Michael Fabricant is a real MP. I honestly thought he was Harry Enfield impersonating Boris Johnson.
  16. Neither is 52/48. My (sarcastic) point is that the Swiss found themselves in a very similar situation to the one we are in, and yet they had no issue ignoring the result of the referendum because they considered the well-being of their citizens to be more important than spurious notions of "will of the people" and "undermining faith in our democracy". The country that isn't governed by a party hostage to it's lunatic fringe came to the obvious conclusion that implementing the result of the referendum wasn't worth the price that would have to be paid and buried the issue without much fuss, the one that is seems to think that tanking their economy and reducing living standards is a viable option. The Swiss were pragmatic and did the equivalent of revoking A50, for some reason we seem to think that it is beneath us and would rather cling on to our misguided ideals and suffer for it.
  17. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Swiss_immigration_initiative But, but, but... the will of the Swiss people. How dare they put the countries economy and standard of living above "democracy".
  18. https://streamable.com/n95tb Absolute filth!
  19. Wouldn't p!ss on a single one of them if they were on fire. In fact, I hope they do spontaneously combust.
  20. We will have to give the EU a reason to agree to an extension though, either a general election, referendum or change in the red lines, it won't be granted just so MPs can negotiate among themselves indefinitely. The only thing we can do unilaterally is revoke A50, or agree to the deal as it is, or turn into the European Venezuela.
  21. Only when playing Fulham and the Ev. My point is the goal would not have happened if Boufal hadn't been chasing down the defender and goalkeeper and forcing them into a mistake, very much the sort of thing Ralph wants to see from his forwards. Like I said, Ralph might like him and we may yet see Lille version Boufal playing for us next season.
  22. Love Celta's goal. Not because it was a funny blunder or a great finish but instead because it was Boufal's pressing that eventually put Valladolid in a position where they made a mistake. Think Ralph might like him. Ridiculous second yellow.
  23. Think Lemina has played RWB before at Juventus or Marseille so might see him there if needed (JWP plays there too though not particularly well). Wouldn't surprise me if we didn't get a CB in the summer but got a dynamic DM instead but right now 3 CBs and wing backs gets the best out of what we have and may have played a part in the decision to cut Cedric loose now since his attacking contribution is fairly limited anyway.
  24. That doesn't say anything about his opinion on our CBs. To me it has more to do with our weakness at DM, plenty of decent B2B midfielders but no Wanyama type shield to properly protect the CBs. Romeu comes closest but he lacks mobility. So we use 3 CBs to compensate.
