  1. Hopefully we've given Everton/Che a deadline to agree a move which leaves time for us to find a replacement. Otherwise he stays
  2. Both players are out of contract next summer and Swansea can't afford to let them go for free. It's a waiting game but we're holding the lube
  3. Selling players when they want to leave helps us to attract other top young players
  4. I think this possibility is underpriced. It may well be that Che is quite happy to wait and run down his contract but the club want him out to realise some value
  5. Had a great season in the Scottish Premiership last season but fairly dry the previous two (including one in the Belgian league where Onuachu scored a hatful). Interesting one.
  6. Would be Che would be a better finisher if he had more confidence, not less
  7. In fairness, if your team is losing every week then your main job is to try to keep up morale and be positive. If your team is mostly winning and scoring freely then you can afford to call out the odd bad half
  8. This is right. It all happened quite fast but KWP had to hold back and cover the far post and needed Bednarek to recognise that the player was coming into his area
  9. This is huge I think. Also for keeping the odd player
  10. Looked like bednarek to me
  11. No prizes for guessing who let go of their man for their goal
  12. Actually most people were saying 8 and plenty said worse
  13. Genuine question but why do we need Grimes when we have Charles, Smallbone, Downes, Armstrong and Alcaraz covering the midfield slots? We might be better off with a young kid who'll be happy with max 10 games
  14. I'm wondering who misses out when Alcaraz, Smallbone, Downes and Charles are all available. We have really good depth in midfield at the moment
  15. Our model is to invest for the future. It's not about paying down last season's investments, they're paying for themselves, now and in the future. Now we find more young players we can flip for a profit
  16. Why does the world have to change 😢
  17. I came here to say this. That parry was utterly awful, he should be putting it behind
  18. It did occur to me that a Premier League keeper would have saved that first one
  19. At least he's club captain rather than team captain, he doesn't have to play
  20. He's only 33. Bit strange how his career has nosedived. Perhaps he's just not passionate about football anymore
  21. The only thing we might be able to offer is guaranteed first team football. His aim will be to rebuild his reputation to play for West Ham next season
  22. I appreciate these sorts of update and take it at face value. What I don't understand is why we would want such huge turnover of the playing squad. It's highly destabilising and surely risky/challenging to get the right replacements in. I accept that it's not worth keeping players who don't want to be here but there must be a core that we could keep
  23. The way I see it, the owners consider it desirable to balance the books as we have lost so much revenue, but if we don't get the right offers by the end of window then ultimately we could cover it and the banks won't be knocking at our door
  24. I really don't understand why Liverpool have quibbled over a few million. They're being outspent in this era and dithering doesn't help them
  25. I reckon he still sees England as a possibility (though not a likelihood). It makes total sense to have one last tilt at it at a club with better players who he might be able flourish alongside. Playing in a major tournament for England is such an amazing thing that you've got to try rather than spend your life wondering - I know I'd be putting that above one-club legend status. And even if we think he's not good enough, he'll believe in himself
