Because the football club is not in administration, the could it still trade if the council bought the stadium? Meaning that Southampton FC Ltd could continue in it's current form in the same division? OK, all assets would be sold off, but if the council bought the stadium then someone could set it back up for peanuts? There might well be a loophole there? Clutching at straws maybe, but the end of Southampton Leisure Holdings does not automatically mean the end for Southampton FC Ltd?

Statistically, white people are more likely to get skin cancer than black people. I bet Michael Jackson feels a ***t right now.

Well if it is not true then I challenge Surman or any other player who has contributed to step forward. It wouldn't be crass of them to spout about putting money in the pot at all, it would have showed unity, showed that they cared and spurred on the fans to do more... many people, such as me has not contributed anything for the simple reason the players have not. I am not giving my hard earned cash up to pay for someone elses wage whilst they lie on a beach in Spain chillingout... not a chance in the world. Nobody said anything about booing the players at the start of next season, I just hope most of them are released, I also hope they fail to find another club.

What do you think of the official Saints Aid song?

'When I need a friend, I'll go in the Northam End' That trips off the tongue and is fine, get him to change it and I will download it. :-) -

It's quite good, although I don't get the main lyric of.... " When I need a friend, I go down to Chapel End " .... there's not many people down there in recent years and to be honest, if I was looking for a friend, I would go to the Northam End, friendfinders.co.uk or West Quay. -
Not me, but I would try that little bit harder, I would put in the extra hours to try and make things ok, it's not only about financial commitment... Lawrie said in his piece today in the Echo that he can't get hold of any of the current team as they have gone on holiday etc... How about some of them turning up to Saints Aid? How about some of them turning up at a local pub who are raising money for THEM to get behind the bar? Why didn't any of them volunteer to serve some chips at Goodies Charity day? What would be wrong in the clubbing together to hold an auction? Donating shirts etc of theirs and contacts of theirs? How's about just one of them coming out and thanking the Saints fans for clubbing together for their wages? There are a million ways other than giving up their wages how they could have showed they cared.... not one of them has shown anything other than contempt for the fans of SFC, the ones who pay their wages.

Usually I think View From the Top is a total and utter co ck. However, this time, he's wrong again.

It wouldn't happen, Southampton and P*rtsmouth are one of the only rivals from different cities that are 'twinned' which means they are prevented from playing on the same day, so I very much doubt we would be able to play in the same City!
-
That would be amazing, I wouldn't eat it, probably just stare and laugh, and if it moved, I would stamp on it till it didn't.

And another point, I had a Goodies Fish and Chips on the Charity Day, and I had one the other day... ( that's why I am fat ) ... it might be wrong, it was the same dish, served by the same people, but it tasted so much better when I knew it was going in to the pockets of the staff and owners of the Chippy than the bitter taste it left on the charity day.

You're right, your Sunday is much more entertaining than mine. I might watch Matt Le Tissiers Unbelievable on VCR whilst masturbating into one of my old socks. Is that better?

Well, that is a point, the f@ct is, without trying to be ITK, if the major shareholders had sold up at a reasonable rate, without trying to make a profit, we wouldn't be in this situation. More than one investor was put off by certain peoples unreasonable demands for their stake.

Chris Marsden ****ged my ex.... true story. Cost him his marriage to boot though.... haha gutted. :-)

It was in the Echo.... funnily enough, I am trying to search the archive of their website and can't find the story..... how convenient.

What are you up to docker? I would be interested to know. x

A mixture of both, in all honesty, don't want to turn it into a thread about the kids on £500 a week. It is more the senior players claiming they deffered wages and the players kissing the badge etc etc which really grate me.

Not the ones who are still here we haven't, and we won't. The whole Academy at present is worth less than 1 Theo or Bale.... Sad, but true.

I intend on getting up about 8am on Sunday, something of a lie-in for me. My missus is on nights, I am hoping she will return with a News of The World and McDonalds Brekkie when she comes in. If she doesn't then I will slap her and take the dog up the shop to buy a paper and a croissant. Depending on whether the dog has been walked, I might well take her out. I am contemplating going to the Driving Range in the afternoon... I need to practice on my swing. In the evening, I will have a quiet one, maybe a nice Sunday Roast followed by some trashy TV and then bed. Now you all know what I have planned for Sunday.

I suppose the one positive from the possibility of us going bust would be that there is alot of them c*nts who will really struggle to find anyone who will take them, maybe they should realise it is in their best interests for SFC to continue. And Crab Lungs is right, how many of them have actually come out and said " Hey guys, thanks, thanks alot " They are all off on holiday now, their agents are busy fixing them up with a plan B if we go bust, I wonder how many of them will turn up to Saints Aid, you would think one or two at least? Surely? If the club goes down the sh!tter it won't be because I have not put much of my money in, it will be because the players have under-performed for the last two years.

It's not conflicting... the Academy players genuinely owe Southampton something, many of them have benefited from being at one of the best Academys in the country, and it is fair to say, many of them would not have been proffesional footballers if it was not for this education. What's one days wage? Seriously? No matter how much you earn? My beef is not with them though, my beef is not with the players who openly are in it for the money ala Skacel. My beef is with the self-proclaimed 'Saints Fans' like Surman, the players like Lallana who 'love' the club, the c*nts who kiss the badge at every opportunity, Davies and Euell trying to make out they have deffered their wages etc etc..... Yes I wouldn't take a pay-cut to save the company I work for, but I wouldn't be making up stories about how I did, nor would I be claiming to love the club and blah blah f*cking blah...

When anyone agrees with me why do they always start the post with 'for once' ? :-(

Some important things to happen on Sundays.... 1) God declared it a day of rest. 2) Rememberance Sunday 3) Car Boot Sales 4) Shops now allowed to trade on Sundays 5) I was born on a Sunday 6) Pubs close early. 7) Sunday is the day that the clocks go forward / backwards So yes, Sunday can be an important day to some.

I went to a Car Boot Sale once.

I was using this post to reply to another thread, but went off on a tangent so might as well make it a thread of it's own. The players... Nobody is moaning about players getting paid lots. Lucky them, I work in sales, if I am good, I get lots of money, if I am bad, I get paid f*ck all, if only the same was said of our football players, the wage bill would have been zero for the last couple of years. However, not one of the has lead by example and put a penny in, to be honest, I am pretty p*ssed off that Kelvin Davies and Jason Euell tried to lie and say they had deffered wages..... why did they do that? I feel sorry for all the effort the Saints Trust went to just to pay for Wayne Thomas' wages for a week, I feel embarrassed for Goodies Fish and Chip shop who worked their arses off for free to pay for Bradley Wright-Phillips weekly wage. F*ck the players, the sh!te they have served up all season, for NOT A SINGLE ONE of them to stand up and say " Hey, I am willing to give a weeks wage, even a days wage to the cause " F*ck them, f*ck the lot of them, I hope we start with a completely new team next season, they can all f*ck off as far as I am concerned, and that includes Kelvin Davies. I don't give a f*ck how much they earn, just a days wage would have been enough, just to lead the way, but they don't care, they will get paid that for some other team. Surman..... supposedly a Saints fan, not put a penny into the pot, yet other Saints fans are having the guilt trip put on them..... just goes to show, people can kiss the badge all they want, they can say how much they love the club, the fact is that Matthew Le Tissier is the last Saints player to ever 'not' put his money where his mouth is and stay here for the love. I don't blame players for moving on, it's a job, I wouldn't lose a weeks wage for the company I work for if they went into administration, I would find a new job.... the same as most footballers would do. What I would not do is lie to the public and try to suggest I did, nor would I claim how much I love Southampton FC blah blah f*cking blah. B*llocks to them, b*llocks to them all.

I gave my tickets to Kaiser Soze, being the generous person that I am.
