  1. Start from zero, for a start I think you are referring to Eastleigh then we would start in the Blue Square Premier, one division above them. With the prestige Southampton FC would hold in that division, every player and his dog at that level would want to play for us, it wouldn't take more than 2 years to get into League 2.
  2. Me too! Stayed in Sunnyside ( R.I.P ) , highlights were having a fight with a bunch of skates, throwing a sausage roll at Jamie Oliver, and throwing some bird in a swimming pool before allowing her to take her wallet and mobile phone out of her pocket.
  3. Have found this which proves very interesting reading if you are interested in the in's and outs of administration and possible liquidation. http://coventry.academia.edu/JohnBeech/Papers/82558/The-Circumstances-in-which-English-Football-Clubs-Become-Insolvent Reading the report does not make me confident that we will get out of it without an extra 15 point deduction, and it looks more possible of liquidation.
  4. SFC Ltd will not be liquidated though, SLH PLC will be.
  5. But the police would laugh in their face if they even tried to suggest it! Southampton FC may well die, but the residents hatred for P*mpey will never go away.
  6. Firstly, you won't get a professional squad of 32 in that league. 20 would be a fair estimate. At least half of these would be made up of Academy aged players on £500 a week tops. An average of 207000 is almost 4k a week, I doubt we will have any players on anywhere near that.... half it and I guess you will still be over-estimating, if taking into account the low earners.
  7. Which would mean, as I said on another thread, we would have a season without football. If it's before the mid-June deadline, we start in the Blue Square, I am sure we would be able to pull a team together pretty quickly, and the fact that the Chairman of the Blue Square has been sounded off suggests that a contingency plan has already been drawn up. If we go into liquidation after mid-June, then we will have a season without footy and start in the Blue Square the season after. Obviously this is on the condition they accept us in there, but to be honest, with the media coverage it will give the league, they would be mad not to.
  8. I have been looking into it, and it seems the punishment for liquidation is 2 divisions demoted and not 3. So Blue Square Premier, Salisbury City awaits!
  9. That's not how I understand it though FC, Southampton FC Ltd would still be available for £1 or whatever, so if liquidated, if someone wanted to take that on, debt-free, then they are free to do so. If so, then the purchase would retain Southampton Football Clubs registration, although we would be punished by the FA and relegated 3 divisions for going into liquidation. Obviously all professional players would no longer be part of Southampton FC if they didn't want to, they would be able to give 14 days notice and walk, which most/all would.
  10. I am guessing to an extent, I would hope the Academy players would be able to stick around for a season or two, possibly, but if not then I guess we would hope that Crouch or someone would underwrite a certain amount of money based on Season Tickets etc to be able to get a team together, in all honesty though, with the 'prestige' of playing for Southampton for players at that level, there would be plenty of journeymen willing to step up to the plate on a free transfer.... I would hope.
  11. If we go into liquidation then I suspect the council will by St Marys. I certainly hope so. They would lease it back to the club, probably for peanuts and make money using the conferancing facilities and having 4 concerts a year, probably trying to up that as well. If not then I guess it would be ground share with Eastleigh, who would no doubt snap our hands off, although traffic and policing etc would leave alot to be desired so that may cause an issue, we could even end up playing in Bournemouth in the short term. If we were liquidated then I would guess Leon Crouch would snap up the Ltd company to keep SFC going, and I doubt any other businessman, including Jackson would be interested in taking on a non-league club. I don't think SMS will be knocked down, I don't think the council would allow it to.
  12. I work in the fitness industry. f*ck :-(
  13. Wimbledon are now Milton Keynes Dons, AFC Wimbledon was a brand new breakaway team, so had to start at the bottom. Southampton FC will not cease to exist, and Southampton FC Ltd will still retain their registration with the F.A , so even if we are liquidated, we will still have our registration, so will only be liable for the punishment of being relegated a further 2 or 3 divisions. Obviously this would be based on someone standing up and paying all registration and affiliation fees etc, but would be peanuts compared to what is happening at the moment.
  14. Ha, enjoy your 9 hour journey home on Monday.... although that new road helps things a bit I think.
  15. With respect, so what if Marc Jackson wants to make a commision out of shifting a few shares, the bloke is a salesman. His contacts in football will overlap between Saints and Bournemouth, so why not have a pop at sorting both. Do you think Mark Fry is working for free to find us a buyer? Of course there is monetry gain for Marc Jackson at the end of it and probably the security and prestige of working for a well established football club at the end of it. Does it really matter, the bloke is a Saints fan, who also has a soft spot for Bournemouth, being the town he is from. He built up his contacts from his 9-5 job and has seen an opportunity to do something and build a consortium using these contacts. I would do exactly the same if I was him, I would want to help, but I would also want to be rewarded for it. Just because the bloke is a Saints fan, does not make it compulsary for him to offer his services free of charge, he is acting as a broker. Fair play to him for making an effort, it is a gamble and if it doesn't work, then I am sure he will be out of pocket.
  16. Are you for real? He didn't improve the team one bit, apart from the honeymoon period at the start, which most managers get, infact if anything we kept getting worse.
  17. Next season officially 'starts' on June 12th. That us when the football league meet and this season ends and next season starts. They will need reassurances by then, that we will be able to fulfil our fixtures, if we can't, then we will be replaced and the last relegation places will cascade up, all the way to our new home, the Blue Square South. If after June 12th we go into liquidation then League 1 will simply start one team down, with one less relegation place. We will then have a season without football and have to start the following year in the Blue Square.
  18. Is it just me or does it look like Sir Ted his going for a slash, shown by the trickle in front of him and is putting his hands up to apologise to the couple who have just witnessed it?
  19. I once fell down the stairs, it didn't hurt, I guess I was lucky.
  20. Blockades of Barclays branches and their Aviva Healthcares HQ's Chandlers Ford wouldn't achieve anything, but they would be fun. Count me in!
  21. I'm sure you've already been to them all.
  22. So Neil Buchanan is OK? Thank f*ck for that, the blokes a legend. And Living Channel? I once watched Jade Goody die on there, but can't really recall any other programmes of note.
  23. Am I the only one that thought Yvette Fielding was dead? Or am I getting her mixed up with Neil Buchanan?
  24. Tone, I don't know how to break this to you, but Saint got relegated mate. :-( In other news, 25 of my mates are off to Blackpool tommorow on a stag do, I should have been going, but now I am not. :-(
  25. I have a day off. I have a few things to do in the morning. In the afternoon I am going to take advantage of some credit crunch golf at Chilworth. In the evening I might have a few beers, but work in the morning so probably only a couple. I will probably watch Jonathon Ross, Jonathan is joined by Martin Sheen, Yvette Fielding, Grace Jones and Scott Maslen.... not a great line-up, but I'll watch it all the same.
