Tabor McManus Magnier Lloyd-Webber I am unsure which one stuck around and who walked, I would suspect it is between Tabor and Lloyd-Webber on whom owns us, and McManus and Magnier being the 'mystery Irish consortium' Lloyd-Webber being the more likely. By the way, all four of these people are linked to each other in a number of business deals and horse consortiums, Lloyd-Webbers missus is a director of Newbury Racecourse. Lloyd-Webber has stakes in property, as do the others. All four of them are wealthy businessmen and Lloyd-Webber is the 'household name' . Oh, and is it any suprise as to Barry Hearns bitter rant about us, when they recently had a consortium back out of buying them..... and their most wealthy fan is Lord Lloyd Webber? The story might not be right, the 'consortium' might be... the only one missing from the 4 is the 'household name' ... I have my suspicions whom that is, but I am giving up my detective work now, time to start paying attention to the missus again.

Not really, there is a way of ruling out almost everyone else based on Lynams open letter, but not Tabor.

That it has been mentioned by the most people? And has alot more feasability than some of the other rumours like Rod Stewart etc!

With respect gumbo, their story was obviously taken from this thread and others, they named every other person who was rumoured but failed to mention what is the strongest rumour.... now seeing as they no doubt have an agreement to the new party not to directly name-drop, is this a coincidence? I didn't see your name rumoured on here, to be fair. And you are a woman aren't you? We all know women have no place in football, so it couldn't be you. ;-)

The Echo will already know who it is, but will have agreed not to release the name. On their piece where they name-dropped a few people, they ommited Tabor from the list of names, even though he is the most 'rumoured' on here. I believe this adds weight to the argument that it could be him.

I am quite suprised my effort has not recieved more support.
