Erm.... why do people like you exist? If you actually bothered to read the thread then you would see on several occasions I have clearly stated that my point is that I believe they are now running the club NOT as a profit making business... which they said they were going to and that possibly Mr Liebherr is sneaking the off cheeky pound or two our way and catching the bug. So I really don't know what part you feel I was moaning. I wait in anticipation of your reply.

OK, so you compare us to Liverpool and Chelsea... then you pick Leeds training ground ( which incidently, from skimming through, has the same facilities that Staplewood has ) then you link to a story about Hull maybe building their own training ground which has " A floodlit pitch and an outdoor all-weather pitch " Awesome stuff. :-)

It really isn't that poor in relation to all Premiership training grounds... it would be one of the best in the Championship and will be one of, if not THE best in League 1.

My point is... a positive one. That in my opinion, Mr Liebherr has caught the bug and is not going to worry about losing the odd million here or there.

... when Markus Liebherr first took over, he said it will be run like a business and he would leave the club wholey to the Cortese to run. Since then, a £2m upgrade on training facilities ( which didn't need doing ) and refusing a shirt sponsor next year... I get the feeling that he is loving his new hero status and now see's it more as an expensive toy or hobby as opposed to a business. And also he attends every game... which he said he wasn't going to do. I think the next few years could prove VERY interesting.

Oh.... I did pick up a couple of numbers from my cull to be fair. Had 2 messages from bints asking why I deleted them... when I stated it was because they were not in my phonebook therefore didnt qualify... they passed on their phone numbers. :cool:

A pub is a very effective 'networking' tool. Facebook is evil. I have had friendships lost over Facebook, arguments in relationships... the works.... and generally speaking, it's been caused by randomers you never liked in the first place.

When I first add anyone I could... it wasn't to be popular, it's because I was genuinely interested in what people where up to. As soon as I got bored of that, which wasn't long, I started 'facebook culls' Now, I am quite proud to say that literally all of my facebook friends are infact friends and ones which I have in my phone book... so Facebook is an alternative way of me communicating with these people as opposed to phone.... that's the way it should be.

Is it losing its appeal to everyone else as much as me? When I first joined I added every man and his dog, people who I hadn't seen in years, people who were friends of friends etc. About 6 months ago I got annoyed with having nosey c*nts on my facebook... so they had to go, the people who I hadn't seen for years. Then that wasn't enough, so I deleted all the people who would be my facebook friend but not even say hello when they walked past in the street. Now due to nosey c*nts, I have deleted everyone from my facebook apart from the people who are on my phonebook, with a couple of exceptions. Why do so many people have hundreds of facebook friends? Surely if you haven't got their phone number, they are not your friend? So why fookin bother?

Makes sense for all pubs to be open. Much easier to police than 32,000 people wandering round town.

Markus and Nicola have gone on record as saying Southampton will run as a cash club... paying upfront for everything with no secured debts. They definately confirmed that the money for the new training facilities came straight from Liebherrs back pocket. We are not spending massive money... we might be in League 1 but our turnover will be 4 or 5 times as much as much as more than half the teams in our division, so our spending is relative.
